I have read several posts of fellow Hog's who have taken cruise's to Alaska. We are looking into flying to Vancouver and taking a seven day cruise and was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to cruise line, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I am looking for suggestions for a second body to compliment my d800e. I was thinking of trying to pickup a used full frame body. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Best investment I have made. Go for it!!!!
I was trying to photograph a sunburst at dusk and spots appeared on the image. I didn't notice at the time, only when I uploaded to my Mac. These spots did not appear in any other images, only the ones when shooting in the direction of the sun.
They look like water marks but I didn't notice them on the lens. Any help would be appreciated.
I know but it is so darn heavy!!!!!!!!
I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good, sturdy lightweight carbon fiber tripod for traveling. I need it to be able to hold a D800e along with my Sigma 150 - 500 mm lens.
I'm not sure of the weight combo, maybe up to 10lbs? I currently own the Manfrotto 058B, which I love, but it's too heavy to haul when hiking up steep trails.
I know I see a lot of UHHers who purchase refurbished lenses when available. Some almost exclusively. I was looking to purchase a lens from Nikon and found out that they only warranty for 90 days. The savings on this particular lense is about 15% off regular retail and having only 90 days worries me. Am I being overly cautious? Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks for your advice. I will go with the Sigma.
I am planning a trip to Yellowstone and I am considering purchasing the Tamron 200 -500 for my Nikon D800e. I was wondering if any one has thoughts regarding the quality of this lens. The price is very attractive. I appreciate any comments.
thanks,
deej's link set me straight.
Thanks,
I have been trying to set up for HDR in the shooting menu and it is not accessible. It is gray and I can't select it?
Could someone please guide me.
Thank you!
I am planning a trip to Yellowstone this summer and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a place to stay near the southern entrance to the park. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Under what circumstances do you require the VR?
Thank you all for your comments.
Since the 24-70 is a fast lens, should I be concerned about whether it has VR or not? i constantly see good photographers saying it is their most used walk around camera. I was wondering if any UHH members had an opinion.
thanks,
