Ok... yep I do need numbers...and letters from the lens... I need to buy an adapter to make the FD lens fit on a EF body... which is about the same price as the lens and shipping... but... I am willing to buy the lens now and buy the adapter later but I want to make SURE everything will go together and work...properly... o life at times... and so the adventure continues....
awww that is so sweet of him... I shall try to find out on my end about the lens and my camera... what are all the NUMBERS and Letters on the lens so I can get the correct information to my camera store man... how old is the lens... if the Col. knows... I have just started this whole Pet PRo Photographer by faith last month, I have been doing it as a hobby... but took the leap of faith... so far things are working out in my favor... getting good reviews from folks ...like it is about time... etc. Nice feeling.
Ok I am a newbie at this ... I have been taking photos of dog shows and inside sporting events... but I need a low light/Freeze action lens... which folks have been saying is the Numbers this lens has... but I have a Canon 40D and I need to know if this lens will fit on my camera... after years of doing this as a hobby I want to start getting better lens to get sharper/cleaner pics as I want to be a PRO ... I have put my foot in the water and the start of a new adventure is beginning :) If the lens fits... what price would it be? plus shipping to MN thanks for the info... and thank him for his service to our nation too.
Noise what it is and where to look for it and what it looks like thanks
I shall be checking on those sites when I get enough money put together to buy it out right..... but it is nice to know they are that affordable thank you
Some 75 to 200mm f2.8 Canon type the one others have suggested
EF 85mm f/1.8 USM I purchased this lens for low light/Freeze action needs for my Canon 40D I sure hope it does what I want and need...to be able to take photos of inside dog shows and and high school gym events - fingers crossed - it is the right choice until I can afford the 2000.00 lens
now you tell me :) well I shall try this lens out I just ordered and see how I like it... then the next step may perhaps be your suggestion... since it is the same price range... oh be still my heart to have $2000.00 to spend on a new lens....need a bit more work and charge higher prices to save for... dream big :)
makes perfect sense.... with the lens I bought I can return it if I don't like it... wonder how it will do when I am at a dog show that is held outdoors - hummmm
Boy do I agree with that....my granddaughter plays volleyball and if she got a 'FLASH' and messed up... because she couldn't see...oh dear me... I'll take the noise from the photo, long before I want to hear the noise from the team :)
It is a big Nasty Faux Paz sp to use a FLASH at a dog show ring side - one tends to get very evil looks and the threat of being escorting one out of the building via a nose ring or cattle prod... just kidding but... it is NOT recommended..
I just placed an order in for 85 f1.8 Canon refurb lens...oh dear I hope it gives me what I want FREEZE ACTION in low light conditions...
What is a $100 Nifty Fifty?
