Usually photographers try to capture an eagle as it grabs a fish which is spectacular, but I liked the power, intense focus and lighting of this eagle as it swooped down on an unsuspecting fish. Taken at Conowingo Dam.

   Great job, Bob! It looks like a scene from "Gold Rush." Thanks for showing.

I wanted to experiment with Topaz Glow, applying it in it's own layer, then creating a layer mask by which I restored the central portion of the Poinsettia blossoms nearer to their original appearance. I used the Paint Brush Tool (set at 80% opacity) to selectively erase the glow effect but feathered the effect so that the outer border retained the full filter effect.

   WOW, Bob, you sure know how to use your tools. I like this one. Thanks for showing.

Another of the strange and exotic azaleas from Martian's Fall garden.

This was done with Topaz's new 'Glow' rather than Fractalius, which I more commonly use. Glow does appear much more versatile and more easily adjusted than Fractalius, for about the same money.

   Its a beautiful example of Fine Art. Good job, TP. Thanks for showing.

It is, according to the rules, they say only has to be taken by me in the past 2 years at Conowingo dam, and cannot have any watermarks.

Anyone that wants to do some edits is more than welcome.

Here's my take on it, Mark.

I think you photo makes the grade for content but a little PP will help. Look at this link. The guy that shot those pics is always at Conowingo as well as many other regulars. They constantly post high quality pics of the eagles in action there. I think your photo meets the same standards.

I am being encouraged to enter a photo of mine in a Bald Eagle photo contest. I am a bit hesitant and would like the opinion of my fellow hedgehoggers. Do you think this photo is good enough for a contest? Also, would you recommend any further post processing? Feel free to add any recommended edits.

Thanks

Its a nice photo, Mark, but I think it needs some PP for you to have a chance. If you approve, I'll upload my take on it.
