Fine for tabletop product photography. You'd be lucky to be able to do head and shoulder portraits PROPERLY in such a tight space as it would constrain your choice of focal length for proper perspective. Keep the ceiling and walls light and neutral- you can use scrim cards to add or subtract light as needed.

Mine is all white. White reflects light without adding color to the light. If you don't want the walls to reflect the light paint the walls black. I assume you use different backgrounds for your shoots and the walls are not in the pictures.

I wish to use a spare bedroom in my home as a studio for photography. The room is 10 feet square, & has a south window. Can you advise me what color I should paint the room. I have received different opinions.... white, cream, grey, ceiling white, even black. I'm so confused! I do a lot of product photography, and wish to do portraits in the future. Your advice is appreciated and my thanks go to all.

Has anyone used the new Tamron All-in-One 18-270mm PZD Af IS motor
15X zoom lens (Model B008)? Looking at promo pictures it looks kind of interesting. On sale $399. May be a good walk around lens?

I have been using it as an every day lens on my D7000 and for what it is its a great lens. It is sharp most of the time. Like any lens that covers the wide range its going to have flaws. I also used the Sigma 18-250 and the tamron is lighter, faster and a bit sharper. Good luck and most of all just have fun.

If you shoot RAW try corel aftershot pro, and corel paintshop they work very well together. smaller, faster and cheaper then all the over hyped adobe products.

It is an outstanding program if you shoot in raw.

Anybody know anything about this? I'm using PSPx4 Ultimate and also PSE9. Is this add on worth it, or it is superfluous?

Use it on D7000 It is fast to focus incredibly sharp. VC seems to work well. For the money it buries the nikon 70-300 which is not sharp or fast to focus. Got mine for 280 bucks used from amazon. well worth it.

I am just about to graduate. It is a great starting point. I would also recommend Mark Wallace. Google Digital photography 1 on 1 there are 200 plus videos dealing with tone of subjects and its all free.

Make sure you use image stabilization turned on. Other then that just shoot and have fun. I took 1500 shots on a recent cruise to Mexico and 80% came out well.
