I like it except for the lamp shade surrounding your head. You look very serious as if someone else was taking the photo.

It seems this topic comes up occassionally on every forum I belong to,

I find it quite ironic, people comment on wasted time and effort because of questions others ask.

Isn't it kind of a waste of time and effort to post such threads, wouldn't it be a better use of time and effort to just ignore questions one doesn't like, and instead post on threads that interest you

I agree. If you don't want to participate to something beneath your level of interest or perception of others pre-ancitpated knowledge just skip it. Much easier than venting to people who are willing to share. I was raised no question is a stupid question.

Yes I like it just to use it to the max it can give that Joan Rivers effect. But brightening eyes, spotting out quick blemishes. Easy to use and fast

I like 2 the best, the cropping, composition, lighting etc. I think you did a great job. My only complaint is her expression in 3. She's beautiful and I think part of that is lacking there. Wait I have one more thing ignore Sintatraman or just duck the flying righteous bibles. If that was your first try awesome

Sman, you really need to calm down. A Santa hat on a half-naked girl, as you describe her, is evidently no more offensive to a large portion of the population here than your constant affirmations as to your 'personal' relationship with Jesus, how screwed up you were before you met him, and how perfect you are now that you've 'accepted' him as your Lord and Savior. Please keep your religious beliefs to your self, and if you don't care to see BOUDOIR pictures, then goddamit, don't open the thread. If the post violates board policy, let the ADMIN delete it.

PS - you can't win with logic when you argue over a religious theme. Religion and Logic are mutually exclusive.

Well said. The title said what the content was. If you don't want to look why do you do it continuosly. There is no nudity the rules have been followed. I think maybe a nun should smack you with a ruler and teach you to be nice.

2.8 is a fast lens and it's fast through out all focal points of that lens. Other lenses the speed changes as the focal lenght gets furhter away. I took my 2.8 on the expressway and at 70 miles per hour held up my camera and shots pics of a brick wall with birds designs on it used as a sound barrier. Of course I was looking at the road just playing but everything it focus. The lens was new and I bought a 2nd one since. They are better in low light also. Hope that helps some

Just Tami, very, nice image.

Besides the excellent slimming effect, Kudos for the well place/adjusted trane (spelling?).

Thank you unfortunately I cut some of the (train?) off and had to photoshop it back in a mouse is no pencil. Big no no cutting off the dress in a portrait. I thought the maid of honor would be helpful but it worked out better I did it myself. I had fun with lighting the details of the dress it was work but I learn more with everything I do. Thanks I was proud of this one it was a tough job.

I did an angle from the top and retouched the lighting to accent her dress. I had problems getting her to angle her arms. Angles and play with lighting in photoshop to highlight away from the weight. Also people know if they are taller, thinner, etc it's not magic but some time on the pc helps. Take a lot of shots so you have more to work with.

BEAUTIFUL shot! I'm definitely going to try this. (note to self...bring a step ladder

I always bring a step ladder that doubles as a hand truck. I had a black backdrop and umbrella's on both sides. She's not on her so I can say this she was not truly feminine. I tried to explain putting your hand like your holding a wine glass. Also if you can get the arms in other shots to angle and show a space between the arm and the body it can give a slimming appearance. Also us the bouquet and on the shots that you think are pretty but slightly unflattering put the couple in black and white and the bouquet in color it's one of the things she picked herself to make her day special. Just like accenting her dress. You can do a cute shoe shot on a staircase where's she sitting and he can be on a step lower looking at her, flattering for both. Look at posing books and remember she knows she's not thin just make her feel beatuiful the whole time. Watch the angles of her neck so you don't get neck wrinkles have her tilt her head toward the groom etc

Really it was showing off the fashions and the makeup nothing too complicated as a deep meaning, doesn't anyone what to have fun with their photography? I had a blast so did the models. Sold hundreds of prints, too. Nice to make money and have fun too.

I like it. It draws your eye all different directions, busy maybe but in a good way. Photography is art and open to what you like and noone else. Well composed, lit and interesting. The real last supper has it's own arguments brought out many times even in The DaVinci Code. If Sintatraman wants you to challenge his intelligence just start with, has he ever heard of spell check. :) Keep shooting, Enjoy

As a women I wear black pants thay allow for movement but fit. I wear a long sleeve dress black shirt. I agree with rubber bottomed black shoes as my saftey is important too. I will wear a dress shirt cut straight at the bottom and slightly longer so it looks neat and doesn't need to be tucked in so that the movements of my arms don't make me look like I'm fluffy around the middle I am built small. I never wear black and white because I don't want to look like the waitstaff and be asked for help.

I hope others will speak up to answer your question as I am not familiar with that camera of lens.
I would still recomend going to that location before the party with your camera and make test shots at different settings to see what produces the best images.

She means the 18-55 that came with the camera, the kit lens, it's filter size is 58mm

What I am confused about is why they took my thread down and since, I have seen alot of semi nude models posted and even a nude posting (not showing any body parts of course) like mine and in my opinion, tastefully done. Why is that? Is the Admin biased and only apply the rules to certain people?

I agree the new hottie in a bikini and then a repost of more hottie in a bikini. The girl was like 16, really and to even post hottie in a bikini when she's 16. Then yes I saw the near breast and pubic hair one for the pro model. Val yours was a non naked nude so to speak. Nothing to see but tasteful posing and awesome lighting. Instead of what looks like a cheap car ad for a mens magazine

Both are really good. I just would have liked the 2nd dog to have the top of his head. Not by a lot because it draws your eye down to his chest markings. I find with dogs when you get the catch lights in their eyes you will usussally be happy because they are looking into the lens or so it appears
