Hmmm. You are ten times more likely to die from gun violence in the U.S. than in, say Australia or UK, about 5 times more likely to suffer a serious assault and about 4 times more likely to be a homicide victim. Is it really over reported? In Australia, any gun crime, anywhere in the country makes national news.
American gun laws are an anachronism. They have no place in the modern World.
The stats about the change in relative global temperature are collected from weather stations from right around the World. They might make the occasional minor mistake but they don't lie. The data is collected in a reasonably t***sparant fashion and is there for scientists around the World to analyse. So you can be pretty confident the World has been getting steadily warmer since about 1970 and even most c*****e c****e deniers (educated ones) accept that as fact.
Those facts are then taken and the scientists try and explain the causes. That is when you get dispute. The overwhelming preponderance of scientists do believe the c*****e c****e is being caused by man made pollution but there are many notable instances in history where the the accepted wisdom has been proved wrong.
Lack of gun control is exactly why this kind of situation occurs so often in America.
Gun control, like a driving licence, is about making it much harder for unsuitable people to own and use guns.
That is why you are ten times more likely to be killed by a gun in America than in UK, most of Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand and other countries with civilised gun control, and more than four times more likely to die from homicide.
Guns are not the solution, they ARE the problem.

If you look at the sky around the edges of the building there is a similar effect to that around the plane, it looks like clumsy pp. is it possible you have something set in camera, eg over sharpening making artefacts appear around defined edges?

Given my limited capabilities, I get much better images with expensive cameras. So I spend the money. I am in awe of people who can consistently produce great shots from inferior equipment.
