These new things are modern versions of the movements on a plate camera, Sinars are the most popular but were designed to make verticals, verical and increase depth of field.

Neo,
Cool shot!
Did you bracket this? If so, you may want to check out Photomatix.com. They offer several versions of HDR software that are pretty cool. You can try it out for free, but the resulting images have a watermark that can't be removed unless you buy the license key. Go to stuckincustoms.com & check out some the HDR work there. The guy who owns the site has some kind of deal with Phomatix. If you use stuckincustoms as a discount code when ordering, you get 15% of the price. I purchased the Essentials version for ~$40.00 US, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the Pro version. It's a lot of fun! Sometimes, it can be overdone, but with the right bracketing, it really brings out the detail in shadow without blowing out the highlights.

a bit too surrealistic for me, but that's just my opinion! try to play more with colors and shadows! ;)

Hello, photography enthusiasts!
I'm Latvian born photography addict, philosophy and psychology student, currently living in London, UK. My favorite techniques are HDR, timelapse, light painting, macro and portraits so get ready to see some of my works soon! Have a nice day all of you !
in my opinion first pic is good, but maybe can be better to close apperture a little bit to get more background sharpness.. good contrast though! keep it up!
