Neo,

Cool shot!

Did you bracket this? If so, you may want to check out Photomatix.com. They offer several versions of HDR software that are pretty cool. You can try it out for free, but the resulting images have a watermark that can't be removed unless you buy the license key. Go to stuckincustoms.com & check out some the HDR work there. The guy who owns the site has some kind of deal with Phomatix. If you use stuckincustoms as a discount code when ordering, you get 15% of the price. I purchased the Essentials version for ~$40.00 US, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the Pro version. It's a lot of fun! Sometimes, it can be overdone, but with the right bracketing, it really brings out the detail in shadow without blowing out the highlights.

Neo

No, thank you!!! This is a neat link. They originally developed this for SEM. I used to rely on scanning electron microscopy in my former jobs at PPG and Valspar while investigating field claims for coatings defects (examining the substrate and backside of delaminated paint films). I think this application is a lot more fun.
