I know the photo isn't of any quality but this is the image of the Xmas moon I captured about 7pm in Brisbane Queensland Australia. The night sky was very clear.
Who said that the DOF wasn't right?
If you were standing there in that place & at that time and captured that photo, then I'd have to say that it's probably one of the most compelling images I've seen in a long time. It looks like something straight out of a "National Geographic" mag. P.S. welcome to the hog!
Welcome to the Hog Wanda. By the way, what do you call your fish?
That was really lovely (calming) Rolf. I'm going to watch it again when I need to feel good about the world.
Very powerful images. It looks way too dangerous looking at that person walking towards the marker. Must be safer than it appears. Thanks Mary for posting these photos.
Hi Gerry. Enjoy the journey. These people on UHH are wonderful. Post pictures & just keep asking questions.
Change there was inevitable Sarge. But I think you knew that was going to be the case. I track your travels with ernest & a great deal of interest. Enjoy the journey. Cheers Susan.

At least you kept the beer cold, you have to keep your priorities right.
You got that right Wireman8. Cheers!
What's with the bloke that gets hit & then picks up his shoulder bag & just casually walks away????????? Are they drunk!!
That was the worst Australia Day long weekend EVER!!!!!!!! Spent most of it sandbagging my sister's house which didn't eventually get flooded (thankfully). Then came home to no power for 36 hours. Had to do an ice run for the esky to keep the beer cold. Try again next year!
"These are my first attempts with a Nikon D3100 w/18-55mm kit lens."
Surely you mean a kitten lens!!!!!!
Steve, this photo is imaginative & unique. I love it. Cheers & thanks for posting it. Something I'll never to get to capture here in Queensland.
It only takes a little, Sarge. Get you one of those huge, stove-top salt shakers and put some in it, so you can sprinkle it instead of tossing handsful.
The spiders are going to disappear!!!![/quote]
I just did the downstairs 'granny flat' the other day (for cockroaches) with Borax. I was wasting too much sprinkling it out of the large container it came in so I spooned some into a squeezable little bottle which has a nozzle style lid (from a hair dye kit - yes, I keep everything just in case it comes in handy!). It worked well but I like your idea Horseart about using a salt shaker. I'll try that as well. And yes Sarge, it really works.
Thanks for the hint Horseart. No more poisoning myself spraying Baygon around the place.
