Well done, Bruce!! You have motivated me to get out with my 70-200 f2.8.....my favorite lens.

Cute. It was nice of her to stop.
Bruce, nice shot!! Did you use an extension tube with your 70-200, or just the 70-200 by itself?
Once you have shot a test clip of video with a 5 D MK II, is it possible to view it on the camera screen? Or must that file be converted using a program before it can be viewed? Help appreciated.

It has been so hot this week I can't even get them in trees.:( I do hear them back in the woods. But with Harrison here I couldn't go looking.:)

You big fibber! 3 toots on the crow call and 6 whiffs of the grilling hot dogs over there and they would've been all over you like a Hitchcock movie!

Thanks Greg! He acts like he is 4 or 5. I have never seen a little one so interested in a camera before. He has a little one that does take pictures, so when he holds it up and push the button I take a shot of what he is looking at.:):) Then I print them and he walks around all day with them.:):) This is fun stuff!!!
Erv
Erv. He'll never forget those times.
How many crow pics does he have?
Just for the record, all. We had a much better showing in terms of Hummer numbers last spring. Atho, I am told that we haven't yet seen them at their fall peak yet. It is still blistering hot out. But a few sightings caused me to rehang the feeders a few weeks ago. I have seen an occasional straggler, usually a Kamikaze....but, have not seen any in numbers. Also had a bunch of visits from Yellow Warblers a few weeks back, but they have disappeared, too. Oh well...........some folks just know how to call'em in. No names mentioned!!!

Sat out today with Harrison and watched the Hummers flying round. It is sad we are suppose to take down the feeders soon. I will miss the little guys and girls. Seem like they just got here.:):)
Erv
Great shots, Erv!! Now, would you please mail me your Hummer Call!!
Thanks.

No, it's a Greeny. It's well on its way to becoming an adult.
On another note, the note about your avatar intrigued me and sent me to a site that you are probably aware of. But here it is for your review........that is one hell of an injury to recover from. I had two knee replacements, and that is what prompted my interest.

Why a ball head, what gear will you be using on it, what will you use it for !!!
Horses for courses
A tripod for landscape will be different from sports
I shoot sports, Giottos alloy legs and will only use gimbals, lensmaster, I believe them better for all things a I shoot wedding videos, sports etc and use gimbals though I have pan/tilt and ball heads
You get (to a certain extent) what you pay for.
All the action shots of powerboats on my site are either on eos60D with sigma 120-400 on giottos legs and gimbal or d7000 and 150-500
http://www.lensmaster.co.uk/index.htmMany here use Lensmaster, I have all three
Why a ball head, what gear will you be using on it... (

I use the LensMaster RH-2 for wildlife photography and can't imagine being without it. For what it's worth.

Thanks, Jeep. I guess my previous pics were adults. But this, is probably the smallest of the ones I shot and, accordingly, probably juvenile. Thanks for input.
