I realize the small dark things are birds, but I can't place the silver and white things.

hi jacob... Tell me, how long have you had your camera. I would say if you haven't had it to long, keep it.....use it to death and then buy a new one. by that time you will most assuredly know what new camera you will want. but for now learn with this one its a good camera. would like to see some of your work. If you do want to trade up get the canon 60d.....its the one i use also .

I bought it used and had it for about a year. The person said they used it a ton. And my second thought was save a bit more money and buy a refurbished or used 7d body since I have a nice selection of lenses.

what lenses do you have? Are they ALL compatible with the 7d body. Make sure before you purchase...I had a 20d and upgraded to a 60d, the only one that would accept the older 20d lenses. I bought the 60d because of a few reasons, the lenses , (the 20d had 8.2mp,) 18mp as opposed to 21mp., the view screen that opens and i can hide it for storage so as not to scratch it, and above all, the price!!! In essence, what i am saying is look before you buy. Maybe you want a little less camera body, to get a new "unused" instead of someone else's castoff.

They are EF and I heard they are compatible. I have a EF 75-300mm, a EF-S 55-250 and a standard lens that comes with the Rebel Xti. I was thinking of selling just the body of the Xti if I get a new camera.
P.s. I like to take pics of birds a I saw a lot of naturist using the 7d
