Excellent Regis. Justice is not done if they are not viewed in the download. Great detail!

Great shots! I drove through there the other night and missed all of it, plan on being back though around the end of July. I will have more time and plan to take some photos myself. Thank you for sharing.

The morning I took these shots, I had to drive about another quarter mile down the road to find a wide enough spot to turn around. Just down from where I took the photos there were 5-6 photographers. They all had Gimbal mounted heads and huge tripods with lenses as long as your arm. I'm sure they had some nice photos too but the eagles were a long ways away. Like I said I was very lucky. One guy had a camera and huge lens on a tripod and another hanging off his arm. All, I'm sure, was high end equipment. Lots of envy going on here. Way out of my league.

Thanks Regis, My son and his family went south for a few days over Christmas Break so it'll be a awhile before I can get back up there anyway. Maybe the weather will break. Hopefully before the eagles leave.

I have only one question. Why the heck did she retire. Beautiful lady with a great smile. Your very fortunate to have her as a model. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for all the great comments. I forgot to mention the camera info if anyone is interested. Camera is Canon 5D II with a Canon 70-200mm f4/L. The focal length was 144mm. and since I was rushed I forgot to check my shutter speed and ISO which were 1/6400 sec @ 1250 ISO. I was shooting indoors Christmas day/night. It was overcast with no contrast in the sky. With the conditions and crazy settings I think I was very lucky.

I was in Coeur d’Alene, ID, for Christmas and my son asked me if I wanted to check out the Eagles by the lake, it was 7:30am the day after Christmas and we were planning to leave at 9am that morning, but he thought we would have time to run down and shoot a few frames. As luck would have there was nobody around and an Eagle just 40 yards from the road. I slowly got out of the car and stood with the door open. Here is what I shot. We were there less than 15 minutes. By my frame counter and time stamp I shot 24 frames in just under 12 minutes. I’m already making plans to go back without the time constraints. Many, many thanks to Regis (a Hogger) who is a regular on here, for his prime location by the lake.

You'll probably agree but when you go on vacation, most of the time, you take pictures for the memory, when you go shooting by yourself your trying to take photographs. Does that make sense to you? So, if I lose a few I'm not heart broken just frustrated. Thanks again to ALL of you.

Thank all of you for all the great input, I am slowly recovering the photos. Kind of strange but every time I try to import the pictures more are available to down load. I've started with the second card now and bit by bit more keep coming available. Never had this happen before. Ill keep everyone posted. Thanks again the joggers are awesome.

Sorry, I forgot to mention camera and LR version. Camera is Canon 5D II, and the LR and PS are the CC version for Photographers.

I'm stuck. Went to Europe for 28 days and shot over 2K pictures, on two memory cards, all in RAW, which was the first time I shot in RAW exclusively with no JEPG. I can see all the photos on the camera but when I tried to download the first card over 700 of them don't appear in Lightroom. This was from a Sandisk card reader. So I tried them from the camera with the same result. At this point I'm a little reluctant to try the other card. Anyone out there have an idea as to what happened? Both cards are, relatively speaking, new I bought them about a month before the trip and used them both before I left and they worked fine. Do you think the pictures are retrievable?
