The thing that bothers me about fishing and fishermen is the fishing line. The line gets snagged on bushes, rocks or whatever and the fishermen cut it and leave hundreds of feet of the crap laying around for the wild animals to come along and get tangled up in it. If they can't free themselves they can wind up starving to death.

I tend to hang out with older folks, and I've noticed something amusing. If something falls to the floor, people don't rush to pick it up. Like me, I bet they are asking themselves two questions: Do I really need that thing? If I bend down that far, will I be able to get back up?
That's why I have a grabber tool, keeps me from bending over and crawling around on the floor.

I thought that the Cone of Silence was a technology of Spy Organizations...
The trouble with this Cone of Silence is that you can still read lips like Hal did in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Understanding a lot of what is going on relies a bit on the events of the TV series (from Australia).
I guess I'll pass on the movie then.

Does anyone like BING?
Not here, I don't use BING. I'm not a fan of Bing Crosby either.

I realize this was addressed to Jerry but I clicked on it anyway. I hope you don't mind. I have also seen it before but didn't think of Jerry until kpmac mentioned it.

I record old movies from the local PBS station for later viewing. I really like the old silent movies. However, never cared for Charlie Chan.

BTW, did you know that Charlie Chan wasn't played by a Chinese actor. Yeah, I know you did.

Hm. Must have moved. Appears to me to be in general chit-chat.
That's where I'm seeing it. Probably was originally posted in the Photo Gallery section

What about the prefixes that went along with those dial phones. The prefix for my folk's phone was Ivanhoe, as in IV9-8294. Yes, I still remember that number from the '50s.

I watched "The Abyss" a few days ago but I don't think the actors are speaking English. They are speaking Swedish but the audio was dubbed over in English. I have seen other movies that have done this. Although they do a good job of the dubbing you can see that the audio doesn't quite match the lip movements.

Tucker had a nice car but bad breaks. Prices of old cars are ridiculous, but people are willing to pay. Car prices were lower in the 1950s, but so were salaries. I've seen movies in which people traveled to the past and took advantage of the low prices. If only.
The Motor Trend channel will televise the Mecum Auto Auction several times during the year. I can't believe how much those old cars will sell for.

I have three browsers on my computers: Firefox, Google Chromecast and Microsoft Edge. My go-to browser is Firefox but I use Chromecast for Ugly Hedgehog and to log into my bank. I don't use Edge, it just came with the computers and I haven't bothered to uninstall it.

Perhaps true, but when I bought an extended warranty on my 2004 Honda CRV, it saved me the cost of an air conditioner twice. The one they paid for failed and had its own warranty.
It saved you "the cost of an air conditioner" minus the cost you paid for the warranty.
