Fun at the bighorn sheep day care site, located on the sheer cliffs of the Yakima River Canyon Scenic Byway (10 miles south of the bald eagle nest).

Canon SX50. Thanks for viewing!

Hi, Linda ..... Great pics .. more babies than I can count.

Glad to see that you have replaced your SX50 with another one. Mine finally went belly-up 3 weeks ago ... tried replacing it with the SX60 .. NOT a good choice .. returned it & went to Amazon for another SX50 .. tried, true & trusted.

Enjoy your postings. Please keep them coming.

Sue

Thanks. I did get a shot of a Double Crested over White Rock Lake last week but in much different light. It just seemed to be bigger & darker than these. I'll be interested in seeing what others think.

Heading south near DFW airport ... could these be Neotropic Cormorants? The cropped pic seems to show a blunt or hooked bill & several articles in the last couple of years indicate that they are often found up in central Texas & beyond in the summer. I know there are Double Crested Cormorants that hang out on White Rock Lake but they are darker than these appear, albeit this was taken around 8am & the sun was hitting them on the underside. There were 21 birds flying in a V-formation

Thanks for any info.

I prefer WASABI ... Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Charger for Canon NB-10L, CB-2LC and Canon PowerShot G1 X, G15, G16, SX40 HS, SX50 HS, SX60 HS for under $22

I will be watching for any/all pics posted with the SX60HS. It just was posted as the PC Mag Editor's Pic yesterday ... pretty good endorsement for me.

I didn't know that. When I looked on the Canon website for batteries they said sold out.
Is there a good 3rd party battery, or should one only buy Canon?

Thanks GeezerGal, I move in tomorrow, looking forward to it, my dog is not happy at the motel

And when the dog isn't happy, nobody is happy!! At least, when our spoiled "DIVA" isn't happy, we all pay the price :-D Hope all works out well & you & doggie enjoy the new place. Looking forward to the new pics from there.

Great shots. Have not seen our jays in the bird bath. Guess they are dirty birds.

Thanks for looking & commenting, rimcon. Your Jays must have a big puddle around someplace that they are visiting. They really dominate the feeder & the bath around here.

What fun! You got some great shots. Sue!

Thanks for visiting, Linda. My bird & your dog .. guess we both needed a break from wildlife & hot weather :-D

I'll have a surprise set in a few more days. I'm (attempting) to hatch butterflies .. so far, day 10 since the eggs hatched & the caterpillars are growing like weeds. Fingers crossed.
