After all the technical things have been learned, I would tell the students to practice, practice, practice. And think outside the box and don't be afraid to break the rules.

Zion is an awesome place to shoot photos. It's hard to take a bad photo. The park offers photo workshops and seminars. I have never had to opportunity to attend, but I would check it out.

I was under the impression that this was a forum where people could ask for advice and get a civil response. No one needs the snotty sarcastic remarks. If you can't offer answers to the questions being asked, get over yourself, take a pill and shut the -- up.

I think that some of the most interesting photos are the ones that don't "follow the rules". Go with your gut and what you like and don't be afraid to break the rules at times.

Go online, do some research and learn how to use spell check. Then make a decision based on what you want from a camera.

Congratulations. I just got a check in the mail from a "local artists" gallery. Two of my photos were sold. It feels so great to be validated, doesn't it ? I hope you sell many more.

I use a Nikon D3000. Recently, I accidentally pushed a button or a combination of buttons, so that now my screen displays the photo I took as a postage size image in the upper left hand corner. The rest of the screen is filled with information about the photo. The information is good, but I don't want it on the screen. I want the entire screen to be filled with the photo. How do I get the info off of the screen ?

This forum is for discussion and learning -- it is not a contest to see who can post the best photo. Go for it -- you will learn from others and your photos will get better.

"technically imperfect" photos can be so full of surprises. And who's to say what is perfect.
As for your 2nd question -- I wonder the same thing.

After reading the replies from other photographers, I think you should be able to correct the problem. I just wanted to say that even if the phot isn't as sharp as you would like, it still is a beautiful piece of work -- it almost looks like a painting.
