The Nikon D5100 is really a very sweet camera as far as picture quality it really does satisfy my demands.
My last Nikon is a D7000 16.mp sensor and is rated just a little better then the Nikon D3300 which has a 24.2 sensor and
the photo quality should be a little better then the others I mentioned although you couldn't prove it by me.
I will be 81 years old this December and maybe it's the quality of my eyes that I don't notice the photo quality.
I'm not complaining it's saving me a lot of money looking for the better or best.

Hello Renn, I started out with a Nikon D40 - great camera easy to use and sorry I sold it. Second Nikon was a Nikon D90 a real work horse and another camera I wish I had never sold. Then came a beautiful little camera, easy to use, the Nikon D5100. I'm glad I never sold it when I bought the Nikon D7000 - all very good cameras. As for me, I could of saved a bunch of money and still could have been very happy with the Nikon D40.
I shoot for my own personal enjoyment. I learned that others with a real understanding of photography, can do great things with most any of these cameras and that's my humble opinion.
Have fun and good shooting. Your camera is only as good as you are.

I also did not know how to update my Nikon, I called Nikon and asked if they could walk me through they were very helpful and updated my camera safely.

You may want to call Pentax and see if they could help you.

Make sure you have a fully charged battery before you call.
Good luck

If you list on Craigslist be very cautious. I listed with then a couple of times and every time I did there were people trying to rip you off and I mean real professionals.
I had very bad experiences with Craigslist and will never list with them again.
My advice is stick with eBay.

Rep. Paul Ryan Showed how a Vice President should conduct himself in a debate. Vice President Joe Biden was as ignorant as he could be. Although Rep. Paul Ryan won the debate I think Vice President won an academy award for his hyena-like performance.
Our country is in real trouble and Vice President Joe Biden couldn't stop laughing.

Joe Biden reminds me of a 7th grade bully with his stupid smirks, condescending smiles and constant interruptions, talk about lies....WOW !!! Biden destroyed what could have been an informative debate.
He's just as bad as Obama.

Chicago is known for it's corrupt politicians and when Obama won the presidency he took a whole bunch with him to Washington. Now that's the real rat pack.

High everybody,
When I open up Picasa a rectangle opens up in the lower hand corner and seems to scan through my albums almost every day. I let it run it's coarse which takes sometimes fifteen minutes or so and then a few hours later it does the same thing again.

Does anyone out there have an idea what's happening?

Thank you..!!

I think this forum helps many people like myself, even those with a lot more experience. I don't think anyone will ever obtain enough knowledge about photography, always something new in lenses or cameras.

Ha ha ha ha !!! We both know your right. I got interested in Photography pretty late in life Jerry, I wish I had other friends who were somewhat knowledgeable in photography, I could have saved quite a bit of money on just the lenses alone. I really had no idea what I was buying and wasn't even aware of photography forums or how much information there was on-line. l

But live and learn Right...!!
