I did not use any fill flash and did not fish. Someone was fishing so I used his pole in the picture. Probably should have fished but was having too much fun taking pictures.
I appreciate your input!! Both suggestions are noted and will make changes on next pictures.
Thought the same thing after I saw picture. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for input. Agree about the mushroom...should have got on the ground and taken the picture.
Would appreciate your input on these two pictures. Just learning and would like advice. Thanks in advance

Actually not a lot. I was sitting on the beach and people were feeding the sea gulls so I started to snap pictures. I probably only took about 30 to 40 pictures and when I got back and loaded the pictures on the computer...there it was...totally surprised me! I am a rookie so still learning settings, etc. and I just happened to get lucky and could not believe how perfect the framing was. Probably will never happen again.
Here is one I took at Hilton Head Island in February 2012. I did not make any adjustments to the picture.

I purchased a 60D about two months ago and love it. Great camera and still learning all the features.
I purchased one and like it. I set the camera beside my computer at home and walk away and do other things while it is downloading. It does take time to download but I am usually in no hurry. I have also taken the card out of the camera and inserted it into the computer and transfered the files which is a lot quicker if I want something right away.

I was asked to do a wedding for my sister-in-law. Never had experience in doing one so the first thing I did is ask a relative with a fair amount of experience to be my second photographer. Best decision I made. Between the two of us we were able to take some really good shots. We took lots of pictures and were able to get enough good pictures that the bride and groom were very pleased. I also went to the church weeks before the wedding and took lots of pictures to test the lighting in different conditions. Shooting in RAW worked really well. Good luck and post some pictures.
Sorry to hear about your loss Annie.
