Welcome to Day 129 :) Today we are going to take a look at Motion. There are several different kinds of motion to capture with the camera. Whether its birds in flight, sports, flowing water, traffic, airplanes or whatever ... life is in constant motion. The only choice we need to make is whether or not to go with the flow, or stop it in it tracks. That is where shutter speed comes into play. A fast shutter will stop motion.. and a slow shutter will capture the motion. Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

When I think of motion,I think of birds andI have a few old favourites from my archives, but first, just last week I put a little bird feeder onto our livingroom bay window, attached by a suction cup. then along came a messy Hairy Woodpecker scattering the seed every whichway, flying about everywhere!
Now, next for some more serious bird motion, the second photo, a juvenile hawk leaning into a' take' off position. and thirdly a Pileated woodpecker in flight.

Now for some big movers in the sky! This first big bird isn't captured in flight very often, an American Bittern. and secondly, the king, An American Eagle. and thirdly I have saved the best for last, an Osprey in flight. We have a lot of Ospreys here in our area fishing daily in our river.

Jim, Yes, I love my camera, it is my constant companion and best friend. We have had many wonderful nature adventures together! We're going out on our morning walk together in just a few minutes.
