Hello all.... Here is a list of authorized repair centers. All that letters says is that won't supply parts to unauthorized dealers.
If you buy a Rolex or a Cartier, you can not send it to some random repair center, you have to take it to an authorized repair center, if not, you risk losing you warranty.... Just a thought.
I would think that all those stores that are not authorized, would have to get a certification or something like that. Have a great day....:)

It looks to me like the focus is on the tie. Didn't you say your were trying to focus on the eye (good plan!)? If you open it with Nikon View NX2 you can see where the spot was focused.

You might check your focus lock settings. I forget the details but if you don't have it right when you move the camera it will adjust to wherever the spot is when you take the shot. I suspect your D7000 is like my D5100 in that you can set the red spot that it will focus on. It isn't necessarily the center spot.

You might have used a little higher f-stop: f11 is often recommended for portraits. It would increase your depth of field so you'd get more in focus. You might have needed a flash or tripod for the longer exposure time.

With 1/60 s camera movement shouldn't be a problem; in particular if you have VR engaged.

I'd use "P" mode and set it from there.

Why'd you use the +EV?

You can fix it in Photoshop Elements to be even better.

It looks to me like the focus is on the tie. Didn'... (show quote)

I don't know about the D5100, but the D7000 has a feature that allows you to see in the monitor while you are viewing your pics where in the picture you focused...I always focus in the face :( I couldn't use f11 because was getting dark already... 5:30 PM... didn't have a flash, nor a tripod... :(
That day, I was shooting RAW and doing experiments with exposure, that is the reason for the compensation.
Again, thank you all and hopefully soon I will show you great pictures....
