I've carried my camera in and out of the building several times now with no hassle at all. This is off topic, but thought that you'd enjoy. When my wife and I went to Italy for the first time, I had a Swiss Tool on my belt as we were waiting to go through security to see St. Peter's in the Vatican; the guard asked to see it and told me that I could not take it inside. I asked if he could hold on to it until we came back out, but he said that he could not do it. He did tell me that my wife could put it in her handbag, though. Out of sight, out of mind?????????????????????

Sorry Chuck, but I am not a alien and I do not expect that I will be forced to stop taking pictures because I am white...so this law does not apply to me..(on account of such inhabitant being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race)

Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any inhabitant of any State, Territory, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such inhabitant being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results shall be subject to imprisonment for any term of years or for life.

For those not accustomed to reading legaleze, the "Whoever" in the first word of this section is the cop. I carry a copy of this in my wallet. Virtually every cop on the beat is familiar with it, and as soon as they find out that you are too, you will be amazed at how quickly they will back down.

I am still more ancient... my first computer was a teletype machine in my high school storage room hooked up to a school district computer. No screen, just a roll of newsprint. No drives just yellow paper tape for storage.

Word Perfect. I'm going to date myself here, but my first word processor was Multimate. I also learned Wordstar, Word Perfect and a couple others. That's not even getting into the collection of processors I bought for the Atari 800XL and Commodore 64.

Since we are dating ourselves ... I remember using Lotus 1A on a PC XT with a 10 MB hard drive and thinking "10MB ... Wow! I will NEVER need anything bigger than this!" Of course, I learned the PC on a dual floppy drive PC, and many a time was guilty of popping the floppy out before saving my work.

As my kids tell me, "That was back when dogs ran free ..."

I'm totally more ancient than that. I had a 8088 PC with DOS before 286 and 386 CPUs and Windows existed and ran Word Perfect and Lotus on it. As you said 10MB hard drive was amazing... because I had just switched from Apple II which had dual 5 1/4" floppies and no hard drive... and that was a step up from the Atari 800XT that I was trying to use before that. Which was a step up from my previous Commodore 64 with one floppy before that. My brother tempted me into computing with his basically-useless Texas Instrument something or the other that connected to a TV set. I showed him!

Hey Goofy:
In 1973 I had the Miranda Sensorex... nice camera, but you are right, the build quality was weak. About half way through the time I had it, the gears stripped and I had it repaired. Nylon gears, lol. In 1974 I bought my C-330, awesome camera, great in low light. Love that pic you took....

Not on the D7000.
Just take off the rubber covering the connecting terminals and store it in the place provided on the grip

Damn Goofie, that avatar pic looks like my HS grad picture! LOL

Funny you say that, my mom lost track of another son she had...hmmmm.
For those who don't know, that's a Mamiya C-330 on the left and a Miranda G on my other shoulder. 1973

The C330 was (is) an awesome camera. I'll not comment comment on the Miranda.

The Miranda was not the best built in the world, but I liked it. Miranda G, 135mm Soligor lens, Tri-X... not that it matters

I have Aftershot Pro and X4. They are both excellent, especially for the money. I have used Photoshop, it is the gold standard. Between Aftershot and LR, I like Aftershot a bit better.
