Great response. I am just an amateur and don't plan to go the pro route. I just enjoy taking pictures. I want to take good pictures. I enjoy reading what others do and don't do. I enjoy seeing others photos and the critiques. This helps me be a better photographer. Like you said a license dosen't make someone a pro. The $$ spent to purchase their photos and services make them a pro. The market will dictate whether they stay in business. That's my opinion for what it is worth.

A license is just another government tax imposed to keep good people out.

Great pics! I grew up in N.O. and live in Covington. Been wanting to go just to get some photos.

If you purchased your camera from a dealer then maybe they can answer your questions. Take you camera in and ask away. Also they may have classes on how to use the camera or classes given by professionals. Don't get discouraged! One day you will be advising others.

I like all these ideas mainly because of $$ and they are DIY. Thanks for the tips.

Thanks. They are at the age where they will stay still long enough to pose.

I like the added color but it might be a little too red.
Thanks for the feed back.

Your grnd dtrs are beautiful...nice pic...I love happy children pics...The 2nd I like as it is...darn the 'rule of 3's" and know that it is called "Crow Poison" here and has a slightly oniony/garlic smell when crushed...just the blooms are very sweet smelling...a member of the lily family...The third is a wild fall
aster...my grandmother called it wild epikak and that is the way she spelled it...We kids called it "fried eggs"...a decoction of the roots given in small amounts was used to bring on vomiting in case of poisioning by non caustic substances... This was way back in the day mind you...lol Just sayin'...Interesting info...Linda Morton

Thanks for the info. I did not know the name of the grasses and I appreciate the update. I knew someone would know what they were. Wild flowers are just beautiful. We have lots her in La. when the weather starts to cool down. Someone said to process as a portrait. What does that mean. Zoom in on the flower?
