everything you shoot your choice you make for aperture setting gives you totally different effects, and sometimes drastic. Ask yourself what is important in your photo, sharpness all the way through or sharpness just on your main subject. I tend to like very shallow depth of field. here is an example of shallow depth of field, a little out focus since I was falling off a 4ft banister and twisted my ankle trying to balance while taking my shot.
to control the bokeh or DOF(depth of field) you change the aperture. The smaller the number(f1.4) the shallower the depth of field and more out of focus background and foreground, the larger the the number(f22) the deeper the depth of field and the focus increases throughout.
I have the same camera and it makes the same images as my black XS minus a couple megapixels. When you know and understand all the features and what they do, people who are also familiar understand and don't care what color your camera is, and that's when it counts. people who are not as familiar and don't care will shun and run, don't bother wasting your energy and chase them. I see a difference in the photo's, the faster shutter speed looks like the colors are more vivid and increased contrast. Also a little sharper for sure.
