Plugged in the monitor this morning. Inital . thoughts are very positive, with very clear image and easy setup. As I said in my first post, my intention was to help me with macro photography, the eyes aren't what they to be.Plus Amazon had a special running so it cost me $90. It did come with hdmi to hdmi micro to connect my Fuji camera. It also came with shade, cheap ballhead and manual.
The only reservation I had before the purchase was the 1200 x 800 resolution, but after seeing the image clarity, I'm glad I bought this monitor. A solid 8.5 out of 10.
Thanks to everyone for their input, My 1A adapter so far seems to work perfectly.
Thanks TriX, I checked the polarity of both the adapter and the monitor and both indicate the center being the positive.
Thanks again.
So, my 1A adapter will work without risk of over heating?
I get it. I guess what I'm asking is, using an
adapter rated at half an amp lower than the recommended amperage will it potentially cause harm to my equipment? Any electricians out there?
CC, As it turns out, seems like ANY field monitor under the cost of $200 just doesn't include power cables.
BebuLamar, What is a gel cell battery?
Just received a Neewer F100 7-inch monitor (Amazon was selling them yesterday, for one day at $90.) So I pulled the trigger. I want to use it indoors for macro photography. For some reason, they do not come with a DC 12v power supply adapter. It says to use a 1.5A adapter. I have a 1A power supply adapter with the correct 5.5mm x 2.1mm male end and was wondering if I'll be OK using what I have or should I go ahead and buy a 1.5A adapter?
Well Sue, I took you advice and called Fuji. Fuji says the xt30 cannot be tethered to any phone or tablet.
Really hard to believe that fuji doesn't consider the xt30 a studio camera.
Orphoto, thanks, but wireless connection won't
work either. The Fuji camera remote app will recognize my xt30, but when I select one of the 4 options, it says no connection.
I would like to connect my fuji xt30 to my Fire 8HD tablet via a USB-C cable. My plan is to mirror the live view in the xt30 to the tablet. My question is how do I do this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Decided on the Haoge FM-160 Wormdrive Macro Rail. Reviews are great and at $70, I thought I'd take a chance. Let you know my impressions.
Looking to explore macro photography. Looking for a focusing rail for manual focus and focus stacking.
My search keep coming back to the NISI nm-180 model.
No longer looking. Thanks for looking.

Just received a used Samyang 12mm f2 wide
angle lens. The condition is as advertised, excellent like new, good for me. My question is that when I rotate the focus ring all the way to the left expecting the infinity sign to line up on the white dot, it doesn't, really not even close. Same thing when I rotate the fing all the way to the right, it goes pass the 0.2 meter reading.
Is this typical? Any other Samyang 12mm owners experience the same? Photos seem great though.
Hate to think it's quality control issue.
