Makes me think I want to go back and visit Lake Michigan again. No on second thought, I believe I'll just enjoy your pictures. I don't think I could climb the sand hills. I'll enjoy vicariously. Thanks! Great perspectives and shots!
Everything especially the eyes are sparkling and clear. Makes me want to keep looking at this picture. Of course the subject makes the real difference. Thanks!
Well help me today to look for those who maybe playfully hiding. Thanks!
Thanks for your kind words and thoughts. our daughter has a gift with animals. Even the little baby bird seemed to trust her.
Here's a photo of baby Orchard Oriole in the grass near the road.
Another one of baby Orchard Oriole on daughters finger.
And the last one of baby Orchard Oriole back in tree orienting to get ready for a flight to safety.

Holding onto the tree
Thanks....this is the kind of help guys like me need.
Haven't found a way of lightening just one area of a photo on iPhoto. I'll keep looking.
Was 50 feet away. Just set it on automatic scene and focused on birds. Seemed to be pretty clearly focused at least from that distance.
Took this 50' from nest on HX100V Sony set on automatic scene. Lighten Papa on iPhoto because he was shadowed and this made chicks a little too bright but guess it couldn't be helped. All four chicks flew away two days after this photo but one who was in danger of getting on road; so, daughter offered her finger and he hopped on for her to take him back to his tree where he got reoriented and flew safely away.
Orchard Oriole
Took this photo 50' from nest on HX100V Sony set on automatic scene. Papa was in shade so I lighten photo on iPhoto so he could be clearly seen. This made baby chicks a little too bright but guess it couldn't be helped. All four baby chicks flew away two days after this picture. Have a picture of one who hopped up on daughter's finger when daughter was afraid he was going out in road. She transported the baby chick on her finger bask to his tree where he got his flight pattern straightened out and took off in a safe direction.
Papa Orchard Oriole Tending Chicks!
Not as active in NCSC as I once was but yes I think he is a faithful club member. I still take people sailing all over the world and enjoy sailing in different menu. Have too many bruises and sore muscles after racing at NCSC but still great class sail boats and great friends there. Am leaving to volunteer at Seamen's Center at Port of Wilmington where a number of the NCSC also volunteer. NCSC is wonderful club.
Knew the New Castle area right off because sailed with NCSC but I'm too new to make comments on pics. Of course boats are now stored in barn for winter.
