I think so too. Here is a photo taken hand held with my Nikon P1000. I bought it used and hardly use it, but will use it more when the birds arrive here in the winter (on a tripod). I mostly use my trusty old Canon 5D Mark IV with a 4oomm stabilized Canon lens. I also have a Canon mirrorless camera, which I am using a bit more, but don't trust yet to get the shots I want (birds and wildlife for the most part.

Thanks. I am mostly carrying a Canon 5D Mark IV in a sling (over the shoulder) carrier. I like having the ability to rapidly access the camera. I am going to invest in a waterproof case however for canoeing.

Thanks, I just looked at the first site, but I'm going to get a rocket blower and lens pen for sure.

I am fortunate to live at the beach and I take lots of photos out there. Although I am careful with touching sand and salt water, my cameras do get exposed. I have been brushing them and wiping with isotropic alcohol and a soft cloth. Does anyone have and tips, tricks or suggestions?

I thought this was a photography website. Sounds now like an open forum on political opinions. Bummer, another one bites the dust.

Denis Leary famously retorted his doctor who'd said that if he quit smoking it would add ten years to his life - "yeah, but at the wrong end"

I've purchased several cameras and lenses from MPB. They have treated me right. I bought the wrong camera and they swapped it for a minimal fee. They didn't send batteries, charger and cord that one camera was supposed to come with and overnighted it when I let them know. I have no complaints so far.

I have about 55,000 images stored in folders in Lightroom 6.4. I have many images stored in multiple folders, so know that this is possible. The simple answer of why I use folders instead of collections is that it is because that's how I started doing it and it works just fine for me. There is a limitation as to how many folders can be nested inside of each other, but easy for me to work around. I do a lot of nature photography (etc) so keep my images sorted into logically nested folders, albums and sub-folders that are easy to remember.

I take mostly wildlife photos. I might take fifteen shots of a particular bird because it is there. Likely this will be pared down to one or two shots during post production before being sorted into a folder for easy retrieval. On the one to five stars system five stars is something I am proud enough to show, print or sell. Four stars is a maybe usable. Three stars is "for information only" such as a bird that I have not yet gotten a good picture of yet. Ones and twos are clutter and out they go. I use Adobe LightRoom for post production.

Lance Armstrong once said "it's not the bike". Okay, Lance has been greatly castigated and devalued, but my point is that a good photographer will use what they've got. By this I mean their equipment, opportunities and their accumulated technical and artistic skills.

John Lennon once said "I'm an artist, give me a tuba and I'll squeeze something out of it".

Use what you've got and allow yourself to develop. I'm generally out with three expensive cameras on me, but still use my smartphone for certain things from time to time. I'm getting better all the time too!

Haters be haters. Sendin' the love.

Regular USB-C cord, RadioShack. Card reader not the problem, problem was Canon's proprietary software using WiFi download. Problem solved - everything in Apple Pie Order. Out.
