Old pics,new treatment.

:?: Luv the flower pictures.....Could you please tell us how you edited them. I use picnik and can do the frames, but I can't figure out how to the the graduated colors. Thanks Joanne

Thank you! As I said the flowers are terrible but was trying for different presentations. I use Photoshop CS5 and the graduated colors are done with the gradient tool. I don't know if picnik has this tool. Hope it does, let me know.

rlaugh.......I have been looking on picnik and if they have the gradient tool, I sure don't know where it is. Maybe someone on UGHH knows if there is one on there. I am very new to the photography world and trying to learn my new camera, a Canon T3i. Sooooo much to learn. Oh, BTW your flower to my untrained eye are GREAT. I would love to take pictures like that. Joanne

According the email, most of the functions will be available under picasa. I guess their premium model just did not generate enough revenue.

Thanks for the information about picnik. I use it and was just ready to order the premium edit when I saw the e-mail. Darn.... Glad now that I didn't order it. I just got my first digital camera, a Canon Rebel T3i and trying my best to learn everything about it. Picnik was really a help for me to edit my pictures.

I just read in my E-mail that picnik will be closing as of April 19th. Does anyone know if any other free editing program will be taking its place?

Hey my name's Christi, I'm fairly new to photography, still learning the terms and what everything does. Any pointers would be helpful. I mostly take landscape pictures and also architecture pictures, but I enjoy pretty much everything. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3i and help is much appreciated. :)

Hi Christi........My name is Joanne and I am really new to photography. I have the same camera that you have, a Canon EOS Rebel T3i which I got right before Thanksgiving, so I am trying to learn the camera and all the jargon that goes with it. It is boggling my mind but I am determined to learn. Maybe, through UH we can learn together. Welcome aboard.
