After reading thru all the comments and suggestions the one area that seems to need better clarification is what laptop and or computer one is using. Several comments related to how the software performs was mentioned. For myself this means not just how the computer runs the software, but the storage system used to manage the files. Although the topic is Restoration, it's part of the overall management of the finished product. Any thoughts regarding this are appreciated.

Manfrotto- confusing website - but as many have said buy something that can handle a heavier lens if needed. This is expensive but the Italians need the $.

For longer shots I bought a heavy duty Manfrotto tripod. I used it for a Blood Moon shot in Nov. The only issue was being in the dark. It was suggested to me to use a head lamp lignt which makes sense.

I feel the same - just bought a Nikon P1000 for that reason. The cost fits my use level objective. Tired of reviewing all the details with a full framed camera which I want, the best brand, mirrorless VS traditionally. What's tne beat value in an industry that has seen a 40% drop in sales.
