Both trees look like they are taken over be an invasive species of trees.
Notice the roots coming from the "mushroom" ball and growing downward to the ground.
Where did you find these trees?

I gave a framed print of a local building to a hard working woman for her coffee shop. I believe I chose the wrong picture. This one feels more suitable for the wall

It's a phone pic. Not doing more than printing and framing.

Before I fork out "the doe". What do you all think. She has alot of near art work on walls. Would you enjoy looking at this while you waited in line?

I agree with that last reply. Do not get a picture of a coffee cup. Maybe a burger. Or if you want to share some ideas with her, write a short song and sing it. Does she have an open mic night? That would be a great time to sing.
I like to go to the coffee shop on open mic night and sing and tell humorous stories about life and art.
This is a good start for a song........

There is a coffee shop on our street
Man, they've got such good things to eat.
They have cupcakes and brownies, panning and tea.
Capuchin and coaco, and believe me. Their lattes are the best.
But put the hot chocolate to the test.

Today is open mic so order anything you like.
Watch this: Sue I'd like a Tostada to go.
Sue always says yes. She never says NO.
Sue just smiles and has this to say.

YES. I gonna sell you NO Tostada.
YES. You get NO Tostada today .

That Sue is such a funny girl.
She's so sweet.
Sue can I get a quart of dill pickle soup with that Tostada to go?

YES. You get NO dill pickle soup.
YES!
I sell you NO dill pickle soup today.

Sue is so funny. I love what she has to say.

This place is so great. Don't you love it here?

Okay I think that is a good idea but write your own words and put them to music. Let me know how that goes. And if you need me to help you with this song. I will even help sing it.

An Irishman and an Englishman walk into a bakery . The Englishman steals 3 buns , puts them in his pockets, then leaves. Outside, the Englishman says “that took great skill and guile”. The Irishman says “That’s common thievery. I’ll show you how to get the same results, the honest way. Watch this”, he said. He proceeds to call out to the shop owner “I’ll show you a magic trick. Intrigued, the shop owner agreed. The Irishman then eats the three buns, one after the other. “Ok, my friend. Where’s the magic trick?” the shop owner asked. “ Look in the Englishman’s pockets”

Two old tightwads were arguing about who was most thrifty and could make $20 go farther and decided to bet on it. Walter, and Warren, each put up $100 and they called their good friend William over to hold the money, and to decide who would be the most thrifty.

William agreed to hold the money on the condition that his decision was final and no argument.

One week later....
Walter said he bought a $20 cigar and smoked it every day for 6 days, saving the Ash. On the 7th day his wife gave him $20 to buy fertilizer for their tomato plants. He used the ashes for fertilizer and raked them into the soil. "Now I enjoyed a good cigar and I still have the 20. And my tomatoes are very good too".

Warren said he went to the meat market and bought six sausage links for $20. His wife cooked one link each day with dinner and saved the casing for him. After dinner Warren walked his dog and put the dog poo into the casing wrapping it up with the white paper. "Then I went back to the meat market and told the butcher that this smells like shit. He agreed, and gave me a $20 refund and another six sausage links. " .
Now who do you think will get the $200????

William said, "I listened to your stupid stories for an hour and the decision was made that you both were able to make your $20 go farther.
But I was the only one who could make $200 go the furthest so I keep the $200. Decision is final."

This isn’t usually a good sign. Often the bigger company doesn’t like the lower priced competition and the smaller company disappears.
Just my 2 cents.

I had Verizon for 20 years and was happy with the service, but then about three years ago that changed and the service was very poor. They stopped service on the antenna near me and gave me a free phone that they charged me $250,00 for, and the free phone didn't work either. They gave me an 800 number to get help because they no longer have any service technician to help. The 800 number was no help. The local corporate store was no help.
I switched to T-Mobil and I would not use Verizon anymore.

My Samsung Note8 is finally giving up the ghost. The charging connector doesn't work (yes, I've cleaned it) and the battery life is getting intolerable.

I quit Apple when they refused to repair my iPhone6 Plus that developed iPhone touch disease (a bad batch of system boards) because I had the battery replaced at uBreakIFix. I swore I'd never go back, but because my whole family carries iPhones I'm left out of sharing family stuff easily.

I want the best camera possible for photos and video and I'm trying to decide between the iPhone 13 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Any opinions?

Excellent photos. I like the Cardinal especially. In Michigan, I have not seen many birds in the suburbs but I used to see many different birds in the countryside where I was living.
The GBH are here in the open water area during the summer.

I’m a nurse and a part time landscape photographer. Recently, as I was reorganizing my locker, my director noticed some of my printed images that had fallen to the floor as I was cleaning. She asked to see them and subsequently showed them to upper management. They, in turn, asked if I could provide them with a few large prints for the admin. lounge. I did. Fortunately, they turned out to be quite nice looking. Then they asked for a portfolio of my best images, which I provided. I edited them in LR and PS and printed all of them at 8.5 X 11in on my Canon Pro-300. I now have to meet with them on March 1, 2022, this coming Tuesday for a walk through the commons areas of the hospital. I’m kind of excited about the whole thing; not for financial gain, but for the exposure. My wife, on the other hand, feels like I need to get paid. Of course I agree that with all the effort and expenditures, I need some sort of compensation. I’m just not sure how to approach them with regard to money. I’ve considered buying the Canon Pro- 4000 to be able to do all of the printing myself. How should I approach them regarding money. I’d like to be able to reimburse myself for the printer.
Thanks,
J

I would just ask him or her how much they plan to spend on the art that you could provide. An interior designer would charge a lot.
I do art and I often quote a price of $1.00 per square inch but I know that the going price is much more than that. A conservative amount would be $6.00 a square inch.
Like I said, start the conversation with them by asking how much they plan to spend.

I went Owl hunting again today. For the first time I got decent shots of the female and the Owlette. When I first got there, the female had bright sun on one side and deep shade on the other side. Then, it finally dawned on me to use the Sony in camera 3 shot HDR to tame the contrast - shooting from a tripod on this mostly static subject. I was also using the Sony 1.5X Clear Image Zoom simultaneously so after each shot it took about 20 seconds for the camera to process and clear. I shot the Owlette the same way. These Owls are in very TALL Southern long needle Pine trees- so these are L-O-N-G shots ......

That is feather down on the beak of the female ! 8-(

The Owls are using Sony A99 and Tammy 150-600 G2 @ 500mm f8 ISO 1600 and then 1.5X CIZ = 750mm total FOV and then cropped 50% - I PP in Elements 9.

The Osprey is shot with the Canon 80D and 400 prime + 1.4X hand held/braced in late afternoon light - he has a Largemouth Bass on a broken/defunct light pole !

Thanks to ALL for stopping by and to comment .......Larry

Larry, These are great photos. Did you get them near Stuart? My parents had a home in Stuart, in what became Palm City. I was there many times. It's on the St. Lucy River where it meets the Intercoastal water. Wide water there and salt water when the tide comes in.
Thanks for posting the great photos.

Hi Fred,
I tried to find this young lady on the internet and on the museum's site, but No Luck. You should send them your picture. It would make a good ad for them and they should post more info about her and her dancing.
Maybe ask a commission for your picture or maybe not.

I saw a film clip years ago. I think it was on a documentary or National Geographic. ... Two guys raised a lion cub in their home in England. When it was too big to keep as a pet they had to give it up to go to nature preserve in Africa. Now a full grown lioness came running to them and began caressing and licking. Then went back behind some boulders and returned with two cubs.
