My Samsung Note8 is finally giving up the ghost. The charging connector doesn't work (yes, I've cleaned it) and the battery life is getting intolerable.

I quit Apple when they refused to repair my iPhone6 Plus that developed iPhone touch disease (a bad batch of system boards) because I had the battery replaced at uBreakIFix. I swore I'd never go back, but because my whole family carries iPhones I'm left out of sharing family stuff easily.

I want the best camera possible for photos and video and I'm trying to decide between the iPhone 13 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Any opinions?

Samsung S22, and get an induction charger so you never have to plug it in to charge it!

i won't get Apple.
I need to replace my Galaxy S-III before December when 3G goes away on Verizon.
Many of my family members have Apple, but I simply share stuff via email or phone messenger.
I've no need for "Apple Share" or whatever it is called.

But it's ultimately your choice.

If most of your family and circle of contacts use an iPhone, I would go with the 13 Pro Max. Great camera, and being an apple product, easily integrates with all other Apple devices.

I'm in the same boat - want to replace my Galaxy J3 Luna Pro. I have no anti-Apple bias so just looking for the best way to a new phone with high-end camera.

I know how you feel. I will never forget the smug look on the Apple store manager's face when he refused to honor a manufacturer warranty defect due to a technicality. I swore I would never go back, but if it's the best choice, I have to swallow my pride and righteous indignation.

(I wouldn't......
I've absolutely no need (or desire) for Apple. )

Why the bias (just curious since I'm looking)?

I have S21 Ultra 5G. It has 4 fast optical lenses: 13mm, 24mm, 72mm and 240mm. Also 30x digital lens. 108 MP on 24mm lens. Excellent video capabilities (find the specs). I like it very much.

• Not joining the Band Wagon
• Price (I don't need to pay for the name.)
• I don't need whatever they have that may be super special. (I just need a phone, and yes, with a couple of apps. Camera is an extra benefit. The S-III has a nice camera and pano function.)
The only reason I'll be replacing my S-III is that it will no longer be supported (work) after 12/31/2022.

But that's just me.

Unless you like spending money, get a name brand phone from TracFone and join their plan. We've gotten phones for under $50 - Samsung and Motorola. The cost of using them is ridiculously low. We were paying Verizon $165 a month several years ago. Now I pay about that much for a year's use with TracFone.

Wow, we have three devices on Verizon (shared data) for less than $100, with taxes. None are "unlimited" though.
(We don't live on the phones/tablet.)

Thanks. None of these considerations apply to me.
