The perfect answer. I learned how to take pictures with all your recommend actions in 1978, My High School Basic photography class. The start to my love and career in Photography. My teacher taught us all the techniques you recommended. 😃

I don't care if it's mirrorless, DSLR, or TouchTone or dial telephone, the D850 is more technology for $2100 than pretty much anything else available today at that price.

Larry. I totally agree with you. I love my D850s The most robust and solid performing cameras I have ever owned. Mirror less Cameras feel like toys compared to a Tank solid DSLR. I am a professional photographer and the Nikon D850 has never let me down. Weddings, portraits. Real estate work and business photos. It's my work horse. And todays price for a new Nikon body with 45mp and every feature you would ever need. Can't be beat.

I just purchased a Nikon D500 camera from KEH camera that looks like new. A friend recommended this camera and KEH. I want to get a back up battery. Any recommendations for off brand batteries, other than Nikon or should I stay with the Nikon battery?? Thank you.

I always buy The Nikon Brand batteries. I tried a generic brand and found they don't last as long on charge. By the way You will love your New D500, I got mine 3 years ago it's built like a tank. And menus have so many options. Plus as opposed to mirror less you can't beat a live view finder. May I suggest something For you to think about. I have the MB-D17 battery grip on my 500. Besides have the extra battery, the Grip adds balance and stability, especially with long lenses. And you have the grip for vertical shots. Just a suggestion you might appreciate. Good luck.

Total nonsense, It's not the Camera that makes the photographer, but his knowledge, experience and creativity. And the full understanding of the equipment he use's. If your a truly experienced photographer it should not matter what brand or type of camera you use. I use Nikon D850 DSLR'S because it's the tool I am comfortable with. I don't need the latest expensive toys to do my photography business.

I totally agree with you. Don't need new technology to become a better photographer. Will never switch to a Mirror less camera. I can get fantastic shots with all my DSLR'S, And no EVF can match a live view through the lens. It's called talent and experience, I have honed my skills over the past 30+ years. And knowing the equipment you use inside and out. New Mirror less cameras just make it easier for less experienced photographers. I don't like the light cheesey feel of mirror less body's. I love the solid feel And Tank like quality and battery life of my D850s.

Hi JC, I recommend the Best Nikon DX DSLR the D500 it's fully compatible With your Lenses. I have had a D500 for 4yrs it's a great well built solid camera. Plus all the controls are right were they need to be. The menus give you so many options. You can even make your own custom menu for the features you rely on most. Plus it has 25 mega pixels, 153 AF points for focus
Plus Nikon's excellent Xspeed 5 processor. You can find them Refurbished like new for great prices. And if you want to add lenses there are plenty excellent used ones available. My D500 in now my 2nd body. I purchased A D850 FX body and several lenses last year because since I started a Part Time professional photography business and I needed the Resolution of 47mp for weddings, Portraits and real estate work. Hope this helps with your decision.

Hi Coolhanduke,
Thanks for replying. That was probably a great concert. Would have loved to see that one. Funny thing My first real camera was the Minolta SRT201with a vivitar zoom, that I purchased my self. Working part-time after school. Then I was gifted my First Nikon the FE and 2 Nikkor lenses. I have been a Nikon Nazi ever since.😀
Unfortunately going to see a concert has now become ruined with Profit, copyright regs and greed. I would just like to get good pictures for myself. Not to sell them. Maybe give some to friends. Thanks have a great day.

A professional camera. Means a DSLR or Mirror less camera with interchangeable lenses. Can be made By Nikon, Canon, Sony, any one made of the major Camera company's
Any purpose built separate device made solely for photography. No Smart Phone cameras, as good as they are. They can't match the features & options or lenses of a Pro caliber DSLR or Mirror- less camera.

I just got tickets to a Stevie Nicks concert. In Hershey PA. Haven't gone to concert for many years. I know that in the past you could not take any photos period. But with everyone having a Smart phone, and you can now take pictures with them. Dose anyone know if you can use a Real Professional camera at a concert. Have looked for info on ticket site's and the venue site. All it says is no flash photography during the show. Dose anyone have any experience or advice on this subject. I appreciate any Help thanks.

I have this same remote, and you are definitely right, mine works great to. And I use it on a Nikon D850 and D500. You made the the best recommendation. This would definitely solve his problem. Great post.
