I tried the solutions listed here and none of them worked. Another message board user mentioned he took his printer apart to access the print head and listed a service manual. Basically that's what I had to do. So if you like to tinker and don't want to waste money on a new printer when this one can be serviced by yourself, search for the service manual that shows which screws to remove. Open it up and remove the cartridges and print head. Soak the printhead in solution with windex, iso proply alcohol, and distilled water - tons of information available on this online. Let is soak for 12-24 hours. Let it dry for 12-24 hours. Be sure it's completely dry before placing back. Viola! Now... someone buy me a beer!

I have received this error plus the 10-flash orange light, and looking on-line it seems it is likely a print head problem. However, I am unable to contact Canon (for a week the phone line always gives a 'closed' message, no replies to emails over the same period) so I am hoping someone on this site might have an insight towards resolving the problem. Unplugging makes no difference and I am unable to access the print head. I have looked at multiple 'solutions' online with no luck. The B200 is an error seen on many Canon models but the 9500 is different from most in that the printhead is a separate device and can only be removed if it moves to the center, which is is not doing. Even if successful, since I cannot reach Canon, I have no way of arranging a return. One site did suggest that I would probably have to take it to an authorized repair center, but the closest is 70 miles away! Many thanks

Hi Mike... I'm having the same issue now in 2021... did you ever find a solution? I can't get the print head to move to the center and resetting it hasn't done anything. I'm looking at buying another printer - likely an Epson EcoTank.
