After using Lightroom 6 for years I finally subscribed to Adobe CC and have started using Lightroom CC to edit photos. However, I cannot "find" the Modules bar so that I can print an image - there has never been a module bar visible since I first opened the program. I cannot find anything on line dealing with finding the modules other than Edit. Abode help is of course useless! Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I did try that - no success.

Thanks - I will try those ideas. No Android phone connected, but there is an USB connected mouse and external hard drive

Yesterday I closed Lightroom 6 (non-cloud). When I tried to reopen the program later in the day it would not open. The Lightroom title page appeared and then disappeared a few seconds later. I went to the catalog and found that the Catalog.ircat.lock had been turned on. I deleted the lock and tried again. Each time I tried, the program would not open but a new catalog lock appeared. I deleted the lock, shut down and restarted the computer and tried to open Lightroom again, with the same failed result. Am I failing to do something or has the program been corrupted?

I have two major problems with loss of non-CC Lightroom 6 files'

1. Today I went to an older Lightroom backup file on an external hard drive to find an image from three years ago to print. When I open the catalog, which is 25 gigs in size, I see previews and full images of all photos, but at the top of every photo is the message "this file cannot be found," and I can do nothing but look at the phantom files in all their detail. Is there a way of "recovering" the real files?

2. When I closed Lightroom on the external drive and opened Lightroom on my C Drive, I found that the file on the C Drive contained less than 10% of the images it contained earlier today, and contained none of my recent additions.

I could almost wonder if Adobe remotely sabotaging my files to force me to use CC? Seriously, though, does anyone have any thoughts relative to Problem 1. or why I had and how I can avoid Problem 2. Thanks.

Battery life with my XT2 is VERY limited, so I never "leave home" without a spare battery, and probably should carry two spares for longer shoots.

You have FAR more control of your image if you shoot in color and then convert to B&W, but not if you choose to do a mass desaturation.

In general you probably won't need more than the 85 mm, except at Udvar Hazy, the part of Air and Space that is located near Dulles airport. I was just at Air and Space on the Mall today and the photography ops there are now very limited, with most of the aircraft removed, the exhibit space greatly reduced and now rather cramped, with the renovation program now underway, and the museum slated to close for an extended period in March 2022. If you are interested in photographing aircraft and space craft you need to go to Udvar Hazy, where there are great photo ops, about a 45 minute (non rush hour) drive from downtown DC, via the toll road.

You can generally find abandoned farmhouses throughout the deep south that have been engulfed by Kudzu or other creeping green menaces. If the buildings are not fully engulfed, the contrast between the vibrant green and the bleached, usually unpainted wood of the building can be quite striking.

I find this comment quite sad - it seems to me to say, "why bother to try to be a serious photographer." I do not go to Yosemite, or other such places, expecting to create a photograph that equals an Ansel Adams image. Rather, I go there seeking my personal vision, to capture something, or a quality of light, that I feel is personal, is in some way unique, and is worthy of being seen by others.

At this time of year it might be a good plan to cross Tioga Pass to visit Mono Lake (if it hasn't been drained by LA), and especially Bodie, the best ghost town in the USA, bar none, where it is always DRY, although smoke from fires may be a problem everywhere east of the Sierras. Lee Vining is a good base on the east side. There are a number of motels there, and camping should be available at several nice Forest Service campgrounds off the Tioga Pass Road, some miles west of the US 395 intersection. The Mono Lake tufas and Glass Mountain are definitely photo- worthy. There is a very nice, and helpful, Visitor's Center on 395 just north of Lee Vining.

I have had zero issues using Watson batteries, although in my experience they do NOT give as many shots as a Canon battery.

When I watch tutorials using Lightroom for PP, I see a lot of features, such as defog, that are not available in my Lightroom 6 Classic (from a CD). As far as I can find, Adobe has not provided any updates or feature enhancements to 6 Classic, probably to make people decide use the Cloud version. As another example, I cannot download RAW files from a recently acquired Fuji XT-2, only JPEGS.

Pemaquid Point Light is especially recommended. Also Blue Hill and Stonington. Finally, the Maritime Museum in Searsport may not be highly photogenic, but is worthwhile.

I recently received a used Fuji X-T2, my first mirrorless camera. After the reference to X-T2 "Focus bracketing," I studied the manual but could find no reference to "focus bracketing" in the section on bracketing. Was this feature added via a post-production software update?
