I like the downward angle on number two. But, as previously mentioned, the exposure needs to be tweaked. Good luck!
There's always hope for 2nd Amendment advocates! Keep up the good fight.
Very interesting shot, but all of that cholesterol is no good for me. I think perhaps people are reading too much into a well-composed and exposed photo.
If very minor sharpness is lost using a B&W UV filter, I'll accept that. I'm gaining removal of UV for better color outdoors, as well as peace of mind that I'm not overtly exposing expensive lens glass to possible danger.
I was going to buy the D600 as soon as it came out, but I have decided to put my money into good FX glass now. I bought the D90 as soon as it was discontinued, and I plan on doing the same with the D600. Besides, after the buying furor is over, Nikon may introduce an even better FX camera for less money!
I thought the photos were so-so until you posted the color ones. Now I like them! I guess many photographs are simply better the way the eye sees them.
All good, Full Gallop is outstanding! Would you mind sharing what lens(es) you used?
I understand what the poster was saying. I used to hunt every year. The process of hunting deer involves thinking like a deer, being aware of wind conditions, walking stealthily, constantly scanning the area, sitting in a tree stand for hours at a time, et al. Some of my most memorable hunting days involved not even getting off a shot. Being part of a grand, wonderful experience with nature cannot be adequately expressed with words.
If the poster simply enjoys the photographic experience, I say bravo. When I read the posting, I visualized images of vultures; that was enough for me.
I like them both, but I prefer the color one. I think that color photo might look better if it were brighter.
Very sharp images. It seems you are a Sigma 105mm macro OS fan. I'm shopping around for one now!
All great photos by UHH members. Thanks to all for sharing examples of the two lenses!
Thanks for the input. Reading countless reviews on macro lenses led me to conclude that test results are generally consistent, but occasionally a site has completely different results. I'm glad you're happy with your lens.
