Well if you were taught correctly back in college, about photography, you would have learned that there is only one way to make a correct photo and that is always... in the camera. Post processing is to help finish off what you might not have been able to do in camera, or alter what was available to you when you took the photo. Post processing is never to help correct what you should have done in camera, in the first place.
Please remember that contrary to popular belief, Dodging and Burning in post, are NOT steps to take care of mistakes God made, in establishing good tonal relationships.

Ansel is rolling over in his grave. Every photo he made was tweaked in the darkroom. Ever hear of the "zone" system?
I'm a canon guy and I am cheap.Might try 2x extender. Usually soccer is at least cloudy bright so you will have the light but you won't have the short DOF. I used a 100x400 zoom for years from the ends of the fields. Good $$.
It sucks. Can't add photos.
I'm sure a lot ot trolls in this forum will play lip service to you. Most of it will be BS because experience is (unfortunately) a hard master. Yes, you can look at a lot of stuff online taken with bazillion dollar cameras and assistants, but it won't be you. Sit down, make a list of what you think will be memorable, important to the participants and go for it. I have been shooting weddings for 50 years and NEVER had one go as planned. Just be flexible and remember as a famous golfer said, "it ain't the arrows, it's the Indians".
Thanks for all the replys. Some serious thought required.
Does anyone know what parts are necessary to convert a Mamiya 645 pro body to digital? I haven't posted here in a couple of years because of all the Trolls that used to congregate here.
