I am sure a lot of people will want to help you. They will need more information.
What equipment do you have (camera, lenses flash, etc..)? How many people are expected? Is there an alternate location in the case of bad weather?
Others will have more questions, but this will help get started.

I would suggest that you start practicing using your flash as a fill-in light when you are taking photos of people. If your camera allows it, set the flash at a low level (1/16 power or less) and get used to the power level you need to remove the shadows under the eyelids when you are photographing them in normal and Sunlit conditions. Also practice on groups of your friends until you are pleased with the results. Since you are going to be one of the "Official photographers", you might ask your parents for a donation to buy an external flash and an L-bracket to mount it on. This will reduce the red-eye effect. Shoot raw - you may have to make adjustments to get the skin tones right, and this is easier when post-processing raw files. It may soound conter-intuitive, but if it is a really Sunny day on the day of the wedding, you will need to use a bit more flash to get the faces right. Practice, practice, practice and be sure to have fully-charged batteries on the day of. You will likely take up to 1000 shots on the day.
Don't forget to get shots of the bride preparing, getting made up, hair done etc., some "boudoir" shots would be nice too.
Good luck!

Could you be more specific about the camera? Is there a model number? Is it a film or digital camera?

Try websites that offer help in the best wedding shots and posing. It's a good way to help you decide which shots would be memorable. Also, be sure to check your equipment to ensure that it is working and you have everything to back up your needs, ie, batteries, cards, flash if needed, and visit the site to familiarize yourself with the best shooting prospects. Finally, take some test shots in the area.

Good luck

Look at the info online about the camera model. It is a basic point-and-shoot that only shoots jpg.

Hello Cassidy. Just go online and look at the wedding photo galleries of the wedding photographers you can find. That will give you an idea of how to pose the people at your parents' wedding. Practice taking couple and group photos among your family and friends. You could do some practice shots of your parents and see how they come out. Your camera is a basic point and shoot model but it does have a wide-angle lens which will be good for taking group shots. Good luck!

Go on line and look at a lot of wedding photos to see the kinds of shots usually taken at weddings. Make a list.

Ask your parents what photos of them and family/friends they want. Make a list.

If you can get to the beach and fire station before the wedding, take some practice shots and note the settings that take the best shots. Make a list.

Prepare a schedule for the day. What time is the wedding? What time is the reception? What photos will you take at each location? Make a list.

Think about the equipment you’ll need. Batteries, memory cards, etc. Make a list.

During the event, you’ll probably have a lot of people asking you to take pictures and that’s ok. Just make sure you get the important pictures done first.

Take more photos than you think you’ll need. That’s a great thing about digital photography.

Try and get someone help you that day to organize people, equipment etc..

Other people will probably be taking pictures of the same groups as you. Just ask them to please wait until you’ve taken your shots.

I’m thinking that your parents want you to have fun while your doing this.
Try to remember. Make sure you get to “eat and stuff” too !!

Go for it!!

Do your best with what you have. The specs say your camera battery is only good for about 200 shots and that’s without using the flash, and it has to be charged in-camera. Since they asked you to do it they must like the photos you take. Try to tell the "story" of the wedding day.
