I am an avid RC modeler and I love to photograph Giant Scale RC aircraft in flight. Here is an example.
P-47 Over the English Channel
Waco YMF-5
Stuka Dive Bomber
I very recently shot 880 photos at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, most of them in RAW. The card performed flawlessly.
Super shot Mike. Excellent detail.
A few days ago I shot these photos when the moon was pretty low in the east. Canon T2i with EFS 55-250 lens shooting in RAW mode (18MP). 1/160, F7.1, ISO 400, 10 second timer, tri-pod, manual focus, stabilization off, live view, full zoom. If the moon had been higher and brighter I would have used ISO 100. With the Canon I can boost the live view up 10x to make manual focusing very easy.
I used the RAW presentation to adjust the brightness, contrast, highlight, and sharpness. I then converted the RAW file toJPG and saved in another folder. Since the moon was low it had an orange tint so I converted that to gray scale. I then cropped to make it look a lot larger.
Great night for moon shooting.

the shot of the norden bomb sight is excellant, i nhave shots of the same b-17 when it was here in vero beach fl for a visit.
Thanks but a good friend who was on the same ride took that shot. We made an unscheduled stop at the Lancaster airport so the crew could tighten a fuel cap on the top of the right wing that had been leaking. The two touch downs that the pilot made were very smooth.
I also use the Transcend 32GB class 10. I got mine from Amazon. It has been flawless and very fast. Since I shoot most of the time in RAW it is really nice to never have to worry about running out of storage. When I get home I transfer the shots to DVD-R for long term storage.
I have used the tripod and monopod many times when the situation called for them and yes, the monopod is very easy to use. On my Olympus C-750 Ultra Zoom I am up to nearly 10,000 shots and only about 700 on this Canon since November. I'm still learning.
I didn't notice any bleacher shake. I think a monopod or tripod (I have one of each) would be very difficult to use because of the fast paced action. Thanks for the ideas.
Well since I didn't see any pictures I thought I would post a few from my wife's grand daughters game last Saturday. When there is a well lit gym I prefer to shoot all of the photos in RAW and no flash. I do some post processing on the RAW before converting to JPG. I just did these on full auto because I didn't want to show full stop action. I wanted hands and the ball to show movement. I used the 55 to 250 lens, shown below. PS She is in the pink shorts and made one of her 5 goals in the last photo.
Thanks a lot for all of the nice comments.
Good shot and processing. Unfortunately it has been days of overcast skies for me.
