The new format is terrible, a waste of time and repetitive.
Cannon SX620 HS, great little camera, easy to use 20MP, nice zoom no view finder, fits in your pocket. Can be had on E-Bay for approx $200.

Sugarloaf Mountain South Deerfield MA. Can drive to the summit where there are great views of the Connecticut River.
Great photos, not "over cooked" like a lot are on this site!
I strive to get it right in the camera w/o the need for PP. I've seen way too many photos on this forum that are way overcooked and don't look real.
Look at the V600 at Amazon, one of the first reviews detail the settings needed to scan color slides. I've scanned several thousand slides using this as a reference and it works perfectly.
You might want to look at the Tamron 18-400 mm, I got this lens a year ago and haven't taken it off of my Canon T6i since.
Go to the reviews for the V600 at Amazon, there is one 5 star review from Mike from Detroit. This is a six page review which contains the protocol (settings) he used to scan many slides, I've just completed scanning nearly 1,000 slides using his recommendations, they came out great and the program sent them to the file that I designated, witch was a thumb drive.

I did a search on this subject and most of the threads are 2017 or older. I have a stitched 20x40" landscape that I think will translate very well to high gloss metal. Aluminyze offers this size and finish as one of their standards (Costco does not). It's a bit pricey but given where I'm going to place it (over the fireplace in the living room) I'm okay with a $225+ tab. The reviews from 4 or 5 years ago were overall positive about the quality from Aluminyze, but things change. Does anyone have recent experience with them or is there another vendor I should check out before placing the order?
