Baby was kinda shy hiding in the shrubbery. When it got hungry it came out a bit and I managed to get a shot. Momma showed up pretty quickly after that. Both with the 200-500mm F-mount Nikkor. Baby on a Z50 and Momma on my Z7

Yep! And always Gators hanging around underneath the nests hoping that jump ends up in the water!!

Yep, that happens. But, the gators keep the raccoons from swimming out and eating the eggs. They can't seem to keep the invasive boas from getting out there though. A lot of hammocks down in the 'glades now produce more snakes than birds.

I must be the oddball.

A family member gave me a hard drive to wipe. It had copies of wills on it.
I wiped the drive without investigating.

Did it become an issue later? Most wills are signed in hardcopy and held somewhere.

If you trust them, why password protect it.

They probably aren't the only ones who could gain access. A curious kid might be a problem.

Went to the Venice Rookery today. Plenty of action and lots of young. There were a couple of older juvenile Great Blue Herons on a prominent nest. Lots of wing action but they weren't yet flight capable. I couldn't resist putting a caption on this one.

Port Charlotte Beach Park. Taken from a fishing pier where Pelicans like to hang out. I was watching the Pelicans fishing when a pair of them flew over me and I accidentally got them to frame one that had already dived.
I call the top one Parallelicans.

I see it as being about the life on a workday in a city. The people are anonymous as they are in crowds on a workday. They don't interact with each other on the street. With them being out of focus it shows no link between them and none are the subject. It's like walking down a crowded street without recognizing anyone else as you go about your own business.

The bus and car in relative motion (bus slow, car fast) provide some action and color.

I don't know if I would hang it on my wall but it would make an interesting illustration for an article about city life or the psychology of anomie.

Is one step a stair?

I discovered this step on a farm in Olney, England.

The house had been renovated as a vacation rental. I noticed that during this the frugal farmer had simply turned over the step into the house to present a new, flat surface.
