I never tried to wipe it off, so I don't know about that. Not sure why anyone would do that. I also put my name, copyright, and inventory number on the back of metal and canvas prints.

Yes, I am. As far as I know, no problems. What problem would there be?

I use an ultra-fine Sharpie. Some printers will actually imprint your signature directly, so you might think of that.
