My wife keeps wondering why I take 10 pictures of the same scene. When she sees the results of the image that she "didn't see" in cursory look, she does see why we "work the scene". Keep plugging away, remember the journey.
And don't forget the Chilkat Eagle Festival in Haines, AK in November. This annual gathering of eagles occurs at the end of the salmon run each year in the Chilkat river. We were there last year and photographed 90 eagles in one shot.

The crooks are ever present and there are many ways to cheat and steal your equipment. I traded in a 5D III recently through B & H and while there offer was a bit low, it was safe! I could have gotten a hundred more but having been burned once, it was enough for me.
