When opening a photo in Microsoft Office Picture Manager under properties the subject distance does not show. Double clicking on the photo, the right side shows the information. The other camera settings show how the camera was set but not distance. Is there a setting somewhere to turn this feature on? Cameras are Nikon D90 and D7000.

ok I see where you are talking about .. subject distance is blank on mine too. I tried searching picture manager for the answer ... but didn't find anything... I'm thinking it must be automatic when you take manual pictures...the picture I checked I had taken on auto.

Picasa gives me all the camera info on all pictures.. however all I see is Focal Distance ... not sure if that's what you are looking for.

OMG Va1940 I've been doing genealogy research the last couple of months. Stand Watie is a huge part of the story of the Cherokee Indians. His signature, among others, on the Treaty of New Echota in 1838 led to the Indian Removal Act passing, and the Trail of Tears. I can't thank you enough for posting this picture. :)
