My granddaughter's D3000 will only work if I set the lens to Manual. When the lens is set to auto it will not work. I have tried three different lens' with the same results. Any suggestions?

How about the ads that say "Free download" and after you do you are asked to purchase via a monthly or yearly fee.

I have a suggestion on Nikon repair. After you have a camera repaired the warranty is 90 days. To me this is no problem for the professional user or the user that uses their camera almost daily, however for the average amateur we may only use the camera a few times a month. How about the warranty period be based on shutter count versus a time period to be fair to all users?

Russian Moment Polaroid type camera. Produced by factory "LOMO" from 1952 to 1954. Only 9000 were made, 1 type black and 1 type brown. I have the brown one along with the packaging it was shipped in from Russia. (going on eBay from 6 to 8 hundred $) It comes with leather case and copy of instructions.

All of the cameras are in working condition are in very good to excellent condtion with cases and accessories.

I am asking $1,500 plus shipping - which will be 4 or more boxes. You can email me at olinbost@bellsouth.net with any questions.

I have used Norton and McAfee in the past. Both will slow down your system noticably. If you are using McAfee and try to remove it from your system ... FORGET IT .. it is almost impossible. I had to totally rebuild a system to rit it. I have been very happy with Microsofte Security Essentials. Defender is standard on Windows 7.

Be carefull it looks like a brown recluse. Carefully remove it and place at the top of you roof. Then you will have a "Fidler on the Roof".

I know this is bad....

Hello, I have been using computers since before the XT. Before purchasing any hardware first determin what you want to do the then the software that will do the task. This will guide you on what hardware you need. The main items you will need to look at 1) ram (the more the better) 2) the video card for the best speed and graphice (again memory and refresh speed 3) the monitor. There are still no flat panel screens that can touch an older CRT. I just got rid of two 21", one was 1600 x 1400 and the other was 2000 x 1600. Both made by Soni. Mac or PC does not really matter to me, it is your needs and the software that are the determing factors.

My neighbor runs a small business and I do most of his IT work. He uses Carbonite and we just found out a little supprise when I rebuilt an older machine. Carbonite only keeps backup files for 30 days. So if you have a big backup that you really might need for a longer period be sure to put a freeze on that backup. Then Carbonite will keep it indefinately.

Many years ago Polaroid offered a nice folding tri-pod for their roll film cameras. It has three telescoping legs that fold out with a nice ball attachement for the camera. If you just need a mono entend just one or all three and keep them together or just two for a bi-pod. The unit size folded is about 1" in diameter and about (let me measure) 11" long.

I understand your feelings. Back in the 60's I mostly shot slides. This week I just sold two slide projectors and started looking at some of the old slides. In them I found some that showed several of my late aunts and uncles. Memories..... I had been collecting old cameras and still have three different rolls of Kodak B&W film in the box.
