ON1 Denoise is $69.95 and Topaz Denoise is $79.95, so they seem pretty alike to me…

Try ON1 Raw free download

I second this. On1 has a very good Denoise AI app which does a better job than Topaz DeNoise in my opinion. You can just buy it as a plugin if you are use Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, or any app that supports Photoshop plugins.

Also it is a perpetual license that is fairly priced unlike what Topaz has been doing lately.

You may want to try ON1 2023 with 14 day trial.
The AI for shaping and no noise can really improve your images.
Then you can select AI which will select various types within your image. Like people, sky, buildings animals, and etc. Then within each of those objects you have the ability make selections with in .

I would suggest you watch a few ON1 2023 videos from YouTube.

If you select to buy, ON1 2023 offers 3 ways to acquire.

if you go that route and still want to use apple photos as your Data Asset Management you can get it as plugins and use it right from Photos. Also there is a raw developer app made by the guys that created aperture (damn you Apple, laughs ) which should give you more features than the basic Photos raw (I am assuming you are shooting raw) processor. I think this is it https://www.gentlemencoders.com/raw-power-for-macos/

I'm using Impresso Pro, got it super cheap during a recent sale. I don't like it as well as Studio but I'm not proficient with it yet either, so I may come to like it over time.

I’d looked at Impresso before and while it is not terribly expensive at $50 if I want all the features of Topaz Studio 2 I would need to buy their pro pac at $160.. not sure it is worth it.

If you do make a shortcut to do that routine I’d love a copy.

16.3? To which product are you referring?

macOS = 13.2
AppleScript = 2.8
Script Editor = 2.11
Automator = 2.10

I don't think I referenced anything else.

Laughs. I shouldn’t post when I just woke up. 13.2 Ventura.

16.3 is one of the more buggy release from Apple. I will add your issues to the others I’m working through.

I use both studio and studio 2 on my m1 Mac running latest version of Ventura. Both run fine though 2 is slower than 1. If you purchased 2 you should be able to download a copy of it on their website after logging in.

However I expect at sometime a update to either my macOS or post processing software will break it.

It is unfortunate Topaz killed it. The Topaz Facebook group has most of its posts being images developed with Studio. Since I have other apps that do what their current apps as well or better I made a decision to not renew my Sharpen AI, DeNoise AI, or Gigapixel AI apps. I am looking for a Mac solution to replace Studio.

I subscribe to Adobe (the basic 9.99 per month). The options I have are bridge and Photoshop. It is possible that once I open my raw files in bridge it actually edits in an embedded camera raw. I have never seen a choice for camera raw , I just assumed my raw file manager automatically edits in raw. So it's always been confusing to me when people talk about camera raw???

Anytime you open a raw image it opens up in Camera Raw which has masking. When you use Lightroom it is has a Data Asset Management catalog (database) but when you open a raw image it uses Camera Raw as well but buried inside the Lightroom UI. Bridge is a browser. It does not process so images

Oops. I sold them two of my old lenses. Was thinking of using proceeds to buy used Sony 24-105 from mpb. But was also considering buying used Sony lens from B&H. Any comparisons here between MPB and B&H for buying used lenses

Look at KEH for buying used equipment. I’ve found B&H gives the best prices for selling something

80% of the reply to a sincere request for an answer to what do people use to mint a NFT were trolls. I thought UHHers were better than this. If I sell a limited number of prints that increases the value of the image assuming I really limit the prints to that limit. A NFT is a way to sell something that supposedly a one of one.

You might want to read the previous post on this by me. Lots of info about alternative sites and pricing. Biggest issue is Costco had free shipping. Shutterfly shipping requirements of $49 order is a killer for me. Other pro sites offer free shipping at $15 or $16 or a flat fee of $10 for an order regardless of the quantity of prints.

ON 1 Photo Raw 2023 has been my worst ON1 experience over the past several years. It's so slow, it sometimes becomes unusable. Based on numerous emails (because phone support appears to be unavailable), there is a conflict with NVIDIA video drivers (used by Dell). I have taken all of ON1's advice re: driver updates, but they do not appear to have addressed the problem. It just goes on, and on, and on...

And Nvidia has said it’s at fault and put out a fix. This is a hardware issue.

ok more. I got my Costco email today to transfer my account to Shutterfly with the 51% discount and free shipping after $49 order. I am looking at putting an order to Costco before they shut down on the 28th as their prices are still cheaper.

Doing more research I have found the best values I see seem to be Photo Canvasland, Millers and White House. I have never used these houses so I am going to have to do some test prints (ugh). The big factor is shipping. Canvasland ships for a flat $10 for any order, plus all of their prints have backings. Both Millers and White House have free shipping after a small order of $15 or $16 not $49 like Shutterfly.

But this is where it becomes interesting - I like having a backing like Styrene.

If you look at a 16x20 print with Styrene here are the 3 prices including shipping

Canvasland $31
Millers $25.99
White House $32.85

Returns

I can’t find White House or Millers information so I have question into their support.

PhotoCanvasLand.com is committed to high quality photo canvas and your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed! If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of receipt and receive a free replacement or a full refund for the price of the product.
