I bought the Zfc, exclusively for the retro look. Also, just to have a smaller companion to my Df.

Exactly, my general observation. Why can't these people clean the items.

I mostly use fast primes with my Z fc for indoor work. They include the Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE), the Nikkor Z 40mm f/2, and the Voigtlander DX 23mm f/1.2 manual focus lens with Z mount.

That's my aim. I bought the Zfc with the 16-50mm lens because I'm going to spain and want a daytime small compact zoom for outdoors. In the meantine I already ordered a f1.2 35mm manual lens to start enjoying indoor with native mirrorless lenses. I also bought the Nikon adaptor for all my F lenses, but they are big and heavy and it takes away the enjoyment and they look too big for the camera.

Still any new version would be going away from what I want. I bought the Df because I know that the closet Nikon can make a camera to my liking without having to make just for me which would cost a lot and I can't afford it.

Somehow my thought process didn't translate into typing. I was supposed to say "for me". For you, you're the one who knows what you want.

About the only thing I don't very much like about the Df is that it's too big however the Zfc is moving away from what I want. I do understand because Nikon did listen to people comments on the Df and made the Zfc for those people but that is going away from what I like about the Df.

Basically, most likely it would take a FF mirrorless Zf; which is what I've been waiting for, but Nikon refuses to pay heed to what the big majority of those that like retro style bodies have been asking, a FF Zf. Obviously, it would have to be bigger than the Zfc, but I gather that it can't be substantially so, and definitely, not as big as the Df.

I don't like the Zfc but I like the Df and I own one.

I own both the Df and the Zfc. Although the Zfc with the 16-50 zoom is basically for outside photography, the Zfc is a pleasure to used next to the Df due to size, weight, and also because for general photography is very capable. Now, if you add a mirroless prime lens 2.8 or less such as a 35mm, (52.5mm in FF), it will be very capable indoors.

It is amazing when I put both cameras side by side, the Df looks like a bodybuilder on steroids next to the Zfc. Of course in low light the Df is better, but marginally so.

Great appetizing photos. Is 12:15, and I only had a glass of water since I got up, and I have no idea what time I'm getting home to have anything to eat.

In the mean time I'll be just salivating looking at your beautiful, well composed pictures.

Who cares!

If I could make a photogragh with my Chinon CE-4s in 1981, I still can make a photograph with it. That's all it matters.

So, pinhole camera, camera oscura, SLR, Rangefinder, DSLR, Mirrorles, whatever you like to use for the task at hand That's all it should matter, no if this is the latest, greatest. If you care about that then congrats, hope your picture taking abilities match your enthusiasm for the latest greatest gear.

After working on cars of many brands for over 30 years, every one of them have produced piles of crap throughout the history of the automobile. A couple come to mind are early Ford Mustangs, Chevy Vega, Corvairs, early Corvettes, Ford Pinto, AMC Pacer, etc etc.

Tell me about it, I got crucified with an AMC Matador, Dodge Caravan, and Jeep Cherokee. I was one of the idiots.

These days I stick to Japanese. European cars are too expensive to repair. And Chrysler Corp. has throughout the decades constantly kept their bad reliability in comparison to the competition.

I couldn't agree more with you. These cars (and others) put Chrysler on the road to Fiat.

No, it wasn't the styles. It was their terrible QC. Bad reliability from anything coming out of Chrysler Corp. to this day. One of the reasons why they always been #3 of the 3 US manufacturers. Their quality and reliability products are sub par to anything coming out of Japan, or Japanese products assembled here and Canada.

So Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler are crap to me in comparison to what's out there from the competition.

So reread what you wrote and think about it.
Even Ansel Adams corrected people that called it "the Sierras".

I have no idea what sierra (or sierras) Harvey is referring to. but you can have a sierra or a series of sierras geographically speaking.
