I'm in the same age bracket as you. Instead of the 70-200 2.8, take a look at the 70-200 f4. I have an extra & trust me the weight difference is a game changer unless you're shooting in VERY low light, the f4 will suit you very well.

Thanks for the suggestion. At my age, I cannot think of any situation where I would be shooting in low light. Yes, I will look at the 70-700, for sure.

See my post just above.

I own the 24-70 G2 and 150-600 G2, in Canon EF mount. They are superb lenses. Reviews here and there all rank the G2 lenses very well... especially as the prices are typically 40-60% less than their Nikon/Canon/ Sony competitors.

rbtree, I have these same lenses but in Nikon mount. I consider them excellent lenses.
I really should sell/trade my Tamron 150-600 G2 since I am closing in on 80 and I have used it only 3 or 4 times (from my front porch) and pick up a Tamron 70-200 G2 in its place.

OK.

Excellent, KT. Of the 2 images, I prefer the B&W one. Perhaps it is because of all my years in a darkroom back in the 1960s and 70s. All B&W for me back then.
Thanks for doing this in B&W.

Similar to one I posted a few days back, but different barn, different county.

Someone suggested the tracks look like it might be from a Bobcat.

KT ~
are you willing to re-post this image in B&W. I think it might look real nice in B&E.

On its last legs--needs a lot of help, Grant County, Indiana

It’s always sad for me, seeing these old barns wasting away.

This is a great subject for B&W. Nice job.

Bottom row, middle image - that thin black diagonal line - is that a power line by any chance ? Just curious.

This equipment is all unused. I can't say new because I'm not a dealer but except for that, it is as you would get it from B&H or Adorama. When I received the D750 I took the body out of the box admired it then returned it to the box. The shutter count is 0 unless they took a few shots at the factory to test it. The 24-120 lens, battery, charger etc. have never been taken out of the box. The Rokinon has 15 to 20 shots taken with it. I found a 14-24 f2.8 Nikkor about two weeks after buying the Rokinon and have always used that instead. The 70-210 Tamron was purchased because I liked the idea that it has weather proofing but have never taken it out of the box. After giving it some thought realized my bodies aren't weather proofed and I don't subject my equipment to driving rain. The Backpack is one of the nicest I know of. I have started to use it several times but I have six or seven other backpacks and have just not taken the time to set this pack up. It has never had equipment in it. The Sunpak flash was a spur of the moment purchase at the NY photo show. I tested it against my SB800 flash using a Minolta IV flash meter. With the reflector attached it was about 1.3 f-stops more powerful than the SB800. Even with just the bare bulb it was still about 1/3 stop more powerful than the 800. I would like to sell this as a complete set so I don't have to package multiple units. I have a lot of equipment but have not sold anything through the years. I will be selling off quite a bit of stuff and this is the first installment. I paid 2300.00 directly from Nikon for the D750 kit which includes the body, 24-120 f4, and the battery grip. If someone would like to make an offer on this package send me a PM. I'm not looking for a lowball offer and financially do not have to sell it. Since I retired two years ago I just don't feel comfortable spending retirement money on new equipment and would use the funds for future purchases. I also want to reduce my bodies from 11 or 12 down to 3. At 72 I need to start trimming back.

You should have no trouble selling this gear. This is excellent stuff.

I recall paying 2300.00 for my D750 body only back in 2015. I still have it but rarely use it as I am closing in on 80 years old.

Yes, same here. I would think that an SSD would be far more reliable than an HHD given no moving parts with an SSD.

However I had second thoughts about that image,

My preference is the 2nd image as it tells more of a story. And it really looks great in B&W.

Run Clean My Mac.

If only 28% of your drive is “free” space, your system has NO ROOM TO BREATHE. It needs room for virtual memory storage. So:

Get a large external drive, in addition to a larger external backup drive, and copy all your files to both of them (use Time Machine for backups!). Then erase all the files you don’t need daily from the iMac internal drive.

Consider an SSD internal drive upgrade from OWC. If all you have is a 5400 RPM internal drive, that’s also a HUGE bottleneck. The latest MacOS systems assume use of SSD storage devices for the system and applications.

If you want a NEW iMac, WAIT for the Apple Silicon models to be released. Intel Macs will be obsolete soon, as Apple is transitioning to their own systems on chips. They are worth the wait!

I am glad I read your "clip" as I am now thinking I will get me a new 24" iMac (in purple) with the new M1 chip.
