Thank you ... we were in some type of nature preserve and it was really interesting. They had rescued sloths there and also a lot of little (and very fast) ants
Oh my goodness, I just realized you're in Adelaide. We know people from there who became very friendly with our cousins. Can't remember their last name but their names are Roz and Marino. And they brought us some Vegemite when they visited a few years ago! Small world! We also have friends in Sidney...
Thanks for the info!
So can you tell me, if you don't mind, what to do to prevent that from happening without affecting the clarity of the photo I'm uploading? Fortunately, I just posted two photos on here so far, but I would like to know any tricks of the site to protect my stuff

We saw this guy on a caribbean cruise
I'm new here, too, just joined the other day. What do you mean hawking the photos?
Thanks for letting me know. I was looking for a photo club around Lindenhurst, so it seems that you're really close. I saw a Lindenhurst photo club listed somewhere, but it doesn't seem like it's active. Can you tell me a little bit about the club? Are there dues? Special times to meet, etc.? I still work, so my time is limited during the week. I also have a friend who might be interested in joining; she lives in Amityville. Just let me know what to do to get a little info. I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks again,
irene
p.s. here's a photo of my yard squirrel, Sammy
The weekend party we were invited to got cancelled because of snow. Now I'm still eating all the cookies I made. My diet is ruined but my stomach is happy!
Thanks, I like your avatar, too :-)
I wanted to get some birds to come into the yard so I could try my new camera out, but the seagulls came instead. This one decided to eat all the melba toast ... whole!
How incredibly beautiful your photos are!
You photos are beautiful ... what camera/lens do you use?

Hi,
My name's Irene and I was introduced to this website at a camera seminar I took at my local library. I've been taking photos for years and really love the medium. I'm hoping to learn as much as I can about using my new camera (Sony NEX-7) and getting used to using all its features. I also have a Lumix point-and-shoot, which is a really great camera ... looking forward to this!
