not really ..something about air flow

Air Flow is not about the flow of air on the aircraft, it refers to the flow of traffic in the vicinity of the destination airport or the departure airport. An example would be if your destination was to SFO and all of a sudden the capt. comes on says that everyone has to deplane due to air flow in SFO. What this means is that the number of flights landing has been reduced significantly; lest say as an example SFO normally lands 200 flights an hour, then ATC institute's flow control an now the number of flights has been lets say 75 an. This impacts the entire system so every airport that has scheduled airline service will start having delayed/canceled flights depending on crew duty time. These numbers are made up to illustrate the point.

One year my wife and I were returning to SFO through DFW (we had been at Great Wolf Lodge water park with the grandkids) we were all on board and the captain comes on the PA said that everyone has to deplane due to wildfires in northern CA and ATC had instated flow control protocols, we were delayed 1.5 hours. SFO was my final destination and I still had a 1.5 hour drive home in the middle of the night.

This was the only time I was boarded with the veterans. I fly standby and am usually boarded last if there are any seats available and standbys will end up with some of the worse seats possible, usually it is the middle seat in the very back where you can't recline the seat.

So if you are on a flight and see late arrivals boarding 99% of the time they will be standbys, if you see people still in the boarding area they are more then likely standbys that didn't make the flight because there were no seats and they have to wait for the next flight. I have spent up to 10 hours at the airport trying to get on a flight. I have an advantage as a standby and that is I can go on the internal reservation system and book a flight to a less popular destination and then to my final destination, I can also see how many standbys are listed for a particular flight and can start considering plan B. All standbys that don't get on a flight is rolled over to the next flight and seniority does count.

By the way I am a lead Line Mechanic (AMT) for United airlines for 35 years.

At my house it is grandpa and grandma. These photos show grandpa with the duty and he happened to be in a good mood when these selfies were taken. He was a little over two months here.

Interesting about the nitrogen, the military uses nitrogen filled tires on their aircraft especially for carrier ops. It seems that nitrogen filled tires will not skid on the carrier deck. On another note I recently had to add air to a tire while on my way to work, the closet place was a costco and when I pulled up to the dispenser I read it and it said that it puts out nitrogen to fill the tires, you set the pressure for the tire and the inflation valve locks onto the valve stem. Keep in mind that this is for costco members.

This was taken at 11:30 at night after arriving home from work. The cherry tree is just inside of the property line of my house on the right and the neighbors house on the left.

I recently had the tree removed where the stump is as it was full of mistletoe and dying and I was afraid a good strong wind would blow it over.

At the top there is a tab called forms and several other tabs, click on the forms tab and you will be able to view your forms. I have been using TT for quite a few years now. The only thing I don't like is that I have to pay to e-file state taxes. It is rather inexpensive for the state taxes to e-file, this year it was 25.00 USD in the past it was 20.00 USD and Federal has always been free. This year I owed Federal and was able to have the amount taken directly from my checking account, I just had to set up all the account information and then select a date to pay it. The date had to be after the date of filing

You have my sympathy for having to eat at Cracker Barrel.

I don't have to eat at Cracker Barrel I do it because I enjoy the food and can get food other restaurants don't or will not serve. I also like the old time store atmosphere of each of the different Cracker Barrels.

I also eat at a Mexican Restaurant called El Rosals. I started eating there when it was just a hole in the wall and they had lines out the door because they didn't have enough seating, they then started opening up new restaurants in different parts of Modesto and south. When c-19 hit some of those restaurants closed. They are family owned and they expanded like a corporation.

I am a die hard country music fan Grew up with my grand parents listening to the Grand Ole Opery on WSM 650 on Friday and Saturday nights. I have one rule if you ride in my car/truck Do Not Touch That Radio Dial.

If I remember correctly Faron Young was also known as the singing Sheriff. If it don't twang its not music.
