With great power comes great responsibility, or so says Madame P. And after saying so to the Colonel, who was about to meet with the Martian to reveal what he'd learned from Omi, she apologized, whispered a quick incantation, and *POOF* turned him into a frog.

She headed straightway to the Martian's office and told him that, during his interrogation, the Colonel discovered Omi had been working as a double agent, had only passed along to the Nanookians disinformation regarding the upcoming invasion of Rhode Island. His feeling was that Omi should be immediately pardoned, returned to duty, and, in fact, given a commendation and a raise in salary for her efforts on the Ministry's behalf.

The Martian appeared dubious, and asked why the Colonel hadn't come himself to explain the situation.

She said that Omi, in exchange for her own information, had learned of Nanookian plans for an impending attack on the Northern Division's massive Catnip Works factory complex. The Colonel, as commander of Seal Team 9-Lives, felt he would be urgently needed back home, sent his apologies for the hasty exit and would be sending a full report when time permitted.

The Martian asked if Omi had revealed who had set up the operation, who her controller in the Ministry was. Madame P shrugged, said the Colonel, if he knew, hadn't told her, but it would undoubtedly be in his report.

The Martian looked thoughtful for a moment, then nodded, said Omi could be returned to duty, and that he'd write up a commendation for her. But no raise.

Madame P left his office, an odd smile on her face.

Beautiful portrait Randy.
The Martian really needs to rethink that whole "no raise in pay" deal.
After the torture that Omi went through and all. Musta been absolutely terrible to be bound to a chair with a laser dot moving around the room, and not being able to pounce on it.

Good to see you're out walking around getting some fresh air.

Thank you!! That was Max. He was a Manx I adopted from our local pound. I also adopted his sister at the same time. Five months later I had to put Max to sleep because he had cancer. In his very short time with me he showed me what an awesome cat he was. In my list of favorite pets, he became #2. I miss him every day and cherish the time we had together. His sister is sweet but she doesn't have his outgoing personality. There are 23 (not a typo) cats in my household and I love each and everyone of them.

Hugs to your kitty from me!!!

Good Morning.
My wife and I know what you mean... (the little paw prints they put on your heart..)
I have a couple questions. My wife and I have 12 cats living with us, and we feed another 3 feral ones...
Is there a "way" to keep your house from smelling like cat pee etc...?
Any way to keep the Vet bills down?
Do you know of a more frugal way to feed them, (And keep them on a healthy diet?)
We are retired, and have a limited income...
We have LOTS of images of them, was thinking of a "cat book" at one point!!
Thanks.
Good Morning. br My wife and I know what you mean.... (show quote)

Thank you for taking care of so many cats.
I do know that cats will eat lots of different table scraps. Bread, biscuits, pancakes, pizza bones, (never ever chicken bones, chocolate), popcorn, potatoes, etc. etc.
Not my spoiled cat. Only Science Diet out of a china bowl for her. LOL

There is a product called OdoBan. Odor eliminator, that you mix with water and spray on. Or a disinfectant depending on the mix ratio.
Check with the local recycle center and see if they have some they'll give you.

Yes, wars coming to an end is a good thing!
There was a time we all thought film would last forever but it died a quick death.
Yes, there are a few film curmudgeons still kicking but it’s mostly spasms, they’ll be dead soon too.
I’m looking forward to when mirrorless is BETTER, not just the same. I hope it uses the same lenses!!!
In two weeks I go to shoot my favorite event of the entire year, the Sea Otter Classic. There will be 300 pros there shooting, maybe 1/2 the cameras will be mirrorless, you think??? I’ll report back.
Last year I didn’t see any mirrorless among the pros in 4 days but I did see a couple Nikons!!!

Several people have had interest in the Lensbaby Line of lenses. I am new to them but will say I love the Velvet 85. I shot these with a Nikon D810 and from what I've seen the camera model makes no difference. Crop sensor or Full Frame might, don't have the two to compaire. Both were shot in raw, White Balance in Auto. Sunny day but plants were outside in the shade. This lens is a manual lens (no auto focus) and to take a picture outside handheld I get as close as needed to frame the shot and get the focus as close as I can. Then just before I take the shot I move my head in and out till it look focused in the view finder then take the shot. Try to keep your shutter speed up to decrease camera shake.

First shot f/4 iso 320 Shutter 1/250

Second shot f/2 iso 320 Shutter 1/800

Just noticed the my shutter compensation was set -2/3

As a paid monthly member of Adobe, I don't understand why my 24-105mm L Canon lens is not listed for lens correction. And yes, I tried to go out in the link suggestion by Adobe--no success. The lens is listed correctly on my lens properties for the image. I could not find anyway to list my problem on Adobe's homepage.

I always assumed that the 24-105mm L Canon lens needs no lens correction of any kind.

My interest in the conversation is about the camera. I own one very similar. My interest and contributions to this thread began when rcdovala wrote, "At this moment, Canon is offering a refurbished 6D for $899 with 1-year of Canon warranty." Unfortunately, that edifying statement of fact brought flamers such as you into the conversation, who would rather the forum remain ignorant.

This conversation reminds me of when I wanted to sell a dirt bike for $1,200USD.
No takers.
The president of the cycle club asked why I don't just sell it for $900.00 dollars and get rid of it?
I said "for 900.00 dollars I'll keep it and use it for mud runs".

Fortunately I still have it.

I'm sorry that this thread has gotten to the point that it has. I really don't see myself participating going forward. However, I do have one question for TriX. I'm not the first person to notify a seller that his price might be out of line. In fact, I placed a link to an identical situation that occurred much before this thread. I don' know if you bothered to look at it. So, my question to you is why did you single me out and none of the others?

I singled you out too.
"Why would you consider the Hogs that clicks on a link entitled, "Canon 6D for sale"... to not have the intelligence to research other options?"

If the OP considers the camera to be worth 900 dollars, but it can be had at Canon refurbished for the same amount, with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty, then that info is shareable, and will have interest to many readers.

Why would you want your fellow hogs not to share such information? After all, we do, and we will. What's the idea here?

Check out this link.

Surely. And what this discussion turned into is whether rcdovala should have posted information openly in this open forum. The answer becomes, "Yes." And I thanked my fellow Hog.

Always two ways to look at it. I once saw a 6D at a garage sale for $750.00. Should I have pointed this out?
