Vino, I've been to Alaska four time with cameras. Take your longest lens, your fastest lens and your widest lens. You will use all three.
THANK FOR THE REPLY!
Does it make any sense to take a 300mm 2.8 AF with a TC301 2x or settle with the 70-200 with the TC 1.4?
FYI - The 50mm is 1.4 and the 35mm is a 1.8
Off to Alaska sometime this summer and wondered what lenses I should bring. I'm thinking the 70-200mm 2.8 with TC1.4 and either a 35mm or 50mm. Any suggestions?
Thanks! I was hoping it might be a non-branded case.
Do you have a picture of the case? Just curious what it might look like.
Or sell a few of the lenses and enlarge the size of the room. (ha, ha) Wish I had all those choices!
I enjoy taking pictures of certain cars while at the show, but park myself out the gate as the cars leave the show. That way I am able to get them all up against a background and keep camera (on a tripod) ready to go. Just a thought!
TRUE - It's a trick I use once in awhile! (just kidding)
It was mistakenly put in the mode. I switched back to Auto WB.
THANKS
THUMBS UP !!! Great shots. Congratulations.
Can't say I am unhappy with these photos.
I grew up in Bath. Haverling '65

Just an amateur! I'll get better.
Yes, I understand that some people think of the racing, but if you have not ventured through the Glen, you are missing some great works of nature. In the past I spent time awarding the champagne to the winner of the Glen 500 (years ago) and spent time at the paddock. Great track, lots of fun.
PS - Great Western used to have a McLaren Can Am Series car in the early 70's.
I''ve been in the wine business for a number of years. I used to work for Taylor and Great Western. For the last 15 years, I have represented wineries for all over the world. Started to wind down and do some traveling while enjoying my new photography hobby.
It's normally about 5+ hours. You also have Corning Glass, Letchworth State Park, The Grand Canyon of the East (Wellsboro, PA) and Keuka Lake in the area. Bath is my hometown, so I enjoyed all these venues when I was young. Now I'm starting to realize their beauty as an adult. ENJOY
