Go back and uncrop one and two and see if you like them any better. No.#3 I really like but here again uncrop or move so that the fish with the open mouth is just left or right of center and see if it is more pleasing to you. Practice is the key. Look here at others photographs and ask yourself what you like about their work. Try different crop and editing techniques like you've done and see which your eyes like. You can never learn enough - but practice will always lead you to another yet wonderful descovery. CajonPhotog said it very well.

I believe your shot is wonderful, thought provoking and also a nice tribute to your friend. The addition of the grave digger I find unique and adds more humanity to the overall photograph.
